Video Transcript for Review of Optronics Emergency Vehicle Lights - Low Profile Clear LED Strobe Warning Light - OPT98AB

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Optronics low profile clear LED strobe warning light. Now this clear strobe beacon light for your vehicle is going to give a warning signal to help increase safety. This is going to be ideal for emergency towing, plowing, transportation warehouse, and agricultural applications just to name a few. This is SAEJ 845 class one approved for emergency applications, and this has the California Title 13 class B certification.

Now, I would like to go ahead and give you a demonstration of this light with my studio lights off, but I do wanna warn you that if you are sensitive to flashing lights or strobe lights, you probably want to just be aware of that, if that bothers you. Maybe fast forward through the video, but I'm gonna go ahead and just zoom in here real quick just to show you what this looks like close up. And then I'm gonna go ahead and zoom back out, turn my studio lights off, just to give you a better demonstration of what this is going to look like. So this light features 11 different patterns. I'm gonna go ahead and switch through all 11 there.

Now these patterns can be controlled by a switch, it's on the plug, which I'm gonna show you. I do wanna point out with this particular pattern, this is a stationary pattern. The light doesn't flash or strobe, for you it probably looks like it is flashing. That's just the effect the LED has going through the camera. But this is a steady light, not a flashing light here on this particular pattern.

Now, as you know, LEDs are highly efficient, they're durable, they're gonna be long lasting for you. This light is also electromagnetic interference shielded so your lights can't be disrupted or turned off. And it looks like we've gone through all the patterns there. And then I'm going to turn my studio lights back on and I'm gonna go for a closeup. And I wanna show you the switch here.

So let me turn this off so I'm not blinding you. I'm gonna bring the switch into view here. So as you can see, this switch will power the light on and you've got an a red light there indicating that it's turned on. And then this switch here is what's gonna go through the different patterns. So this is gonna be very easy to use. Now this does feature a polycarbonate lens and aluminum sealed housing. So this is going to be very durable. This feels durable and like it's a quality material rather. So I think it's gonna hold up really well for you. It's a weather resistant, has an IP rating of IP67, and that magnetic base is going to let you easily mount this to any vehicle roof as long as it's a metal roof and not an aluminum roof. And you're gonna be able to easily relocate this light if necessary. But you do also have the option to permanently mount this light. As you can see here at the base, you have these holes here that you can run hardware through to permanently mount this. This does not include that mounting hardware if you choose to go down that route. So you would just have to supply that hardware yourself that this power cord is gonna plug into your 12 volt auxiliary outlet. And the length of this cord is about eight feet long. And then let me give you some overall dimensions just so you have a good idea of the size. So looking at the diameter, we're pretty close to four and five 16 inches. And then looking at the height on this low profile light, about one in seven eight inches tall, we do have other color color options available as well as other types of lights as well.
