Tired of swapping out bulbs that burn out or get dim over time? This mini LED trailer light uses three bright amber diodes that last up to 50 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs. At 12.8 volts, it only draws 0.06 amps, so it runs cool and efficient while putting out a crisp, bright light. There are no fragile filaments to worry about and no bulbs to replace—just dependable performance that keeps you visible trip after trip.
If your trailer ever hits the water or faces wet roads, this light stays protected. The housing and amber polycarbonate lens are sonically sealed together to form a single waterproof unit that’s fully submersible. That means no leaks, no corrosion, and no shorted-out LEDs—just reliable lighting even when launching a boat or hauling through heavy rain.
Visibility matters, especially at night or in traffic. This P2PC-rated light throws light at a 90-degree angle on each side for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. When properly mounted, it works as both a clearance light and a side marker light so others can see you head-on and from either side. That wide beam makes your trailer easier to spot from every direction.
Replacing worn-out lights shouldn’t mean redrilling holes or rewiring everything. Measuring 2-1/2" long x 1-1/8" wide x 5/8" deep with mounting holes spaced 1-3/4" center to center, this compact rectangular light fits into tight spots easily. It mounts on the surface—horizontally or vertically—and uses a simple 2-wire pigtail with power and ground leads for straightforward connection.

Today we're going to be taking a look at and installing the mini LED trailer clearance and side marker lights with three diodes and an amber lens. We'll be installing the light in conjunction with the black chrome gasket as well as a snap-on polished chrome ring. This is what our light looks like installed. This would be a great choice for you if you needed to replace your light or even upgrade. The LEDs last a lot longer. As you can tell even in a bright room it puts out a significant amount of light. The light itself is 2-1/2 inches long, 1-1/8 inch tall and 5/8 of an inch thick. The measurement from center point to center point here in the screw holes is 1-3/4 inch.
The light is DOT compliant. You can mount the light horizontally or vertically. One thing I really like about the light is that it's LED, which means it's pretty much maintenance free, so once you install it you don't have to really worry about it.Speaking of installation, let me show you how to do that now. The back side of the light has two wires coming from it, both the power and ground wire, and it is sonically sealed. What that means is there's sealer around this circuit board here, so it is waterproof.
However, we don't recommend submersing it for a long period of time or having the light turned on when you're doing that. The first thing you want to do is check your mounting surface and kind of eyeball just to make sure that all your holes are going to line up and that you have the center hole. That way you can feed your wires through. If you need to make any adjustments or drill new holes, go ahead and do that now.If you're installing it with the foam gasket you would run your wires through the center hole and then through the mounting hole. If you're using it with a gasket and a chrome bezel, you'd simply put the chrome bezel over both of them and run your wires through. All right, next we need to identify our trailer's power wire, which we have here. We're going to connect this to our light's power wire, which is the black right here.
We're going to be doing that with a heat shrink butt connector, which you can find on etrailer.com, and crimp that down. Now we can use a heat gun to shrink our heat shrink here at the ends. Now using your existing hardware, or even some new hardware you pick up from your local store, we're going to secure our light to the trailer. With everything connected and secured, we went ahead and zip tied our wires up and out of the way. That way they're not bouncing around. The next thing we want to do is put power to the light to make sure it works.
As you can see, it does here. That will finish up our look and install on the mini LED trailer clearance and side marker lights with three diodes and an amber lens.

The replacement lights are exactly the same as original. Other online offerings were similar but would have required modification. Pricing was competitive as well.
Were a perfect match for the clearance lights on my 2015 American Hauler trailer.
So far this license plate light has worked flawlessly! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I thought the original light (same or very similar light) would last "forever" considering how much we use the trailer. In any case, this light thoroughly illuminates the license plate, so it's easy to see for the toll cameras in our area! I really appreciate the support and products that etrailer supplies. The other lights on my trailer (tail, turn, brake, clearance) have worked great, as long as I maintain a good ground connection on the wiring! I recently had a problem with intermittent lights (blinking on and off), that I eventually traced to a bad ground wire INSIDE the trailer-side wiring connection. I replaced the trailer-side connection, re-spliced the other wires, and wired everything through a weatherproof junction box that I bolted (drilled and tapped) to the side of the trailer tongue. The new ground wire is fastened securely to one of the threaded/bolted connections and seems to be working well so far. I used wired nuts to connect the other wires inside the weatherproof box, so it will be easy to replace connectors if they fail in the future.

Great products and great service from e trailer!
I used these to replace single LED "gum drop" 1" lights. Worked great!
Product was very easy to install, very well built and looks good on my trailer
This is not what I wanted..... Not the normal Amber side marker that I use.....I ordered it by mistake.....But the reason is.....I can't see the back side. The pt# I wanted is MCL13A2B It has the Black plastic on the backside.....But can't see that in this pix.
I used them anyway......I had no choice....Job had to get done.
I've been using the others for 15yrs now and Never a failure.
Great product and looks perfect on new finders. Easy install and only be sure correct polarity is verified.
I would have liked them to be just a little bigger but were what I wanted but will be returning with fenders.
