I love the heavy appeal of the Bulldog jacks. I upgraded from a 2K to a 5K version and this thing looks like it would carry twice that. Super happy with what I have, no off brand junk from (another site), just beef. You guys processed and shipped it super quick. UPS lost it, but I got it only a day late and it was still a good experience.

The jacks have been working very well for us. We use them on our fire pump test trailer. They are used to support the 3000 gals of water in the tank while we are performing pump capacity test for local fire depts. They replaced lighter duty jacks. We replaced two last year and just purchased two more this year to complete the change over.
I called in for support regarding this product, replacing a bulldog 2,000lb sidewinder jack originally supplied on my trailer. I wanted to upsize to this larger unit as the previous one was barely adequate. I discussed the dimensions and availability in stock. etrailer support was very helpful with the specs and ordering process. I received the item quickly and was exactly as presented at a great price. I cut the bracket from my old unit, mig welded it onto this new unit and it works like a charm. Definitely a positive experience. Highly recommended to buy from etrailer!
This jack was poorly assembled, the jack was barely useable, as the gears barely touched causing it to skip and strip the tops of the gears. We had to use a hydraulic jack to lift the trailer off of the ball to separate the truck and trailer. Took the jack completely apart, spent two hours to adjust shims that are washers to raise main gear to turn handle gear. The gears are now fully engaged together, the jack works correctly as it was designed.

Although it's a trailer jack I used this and one I previously bought as outriggers to support my home built log splitter. They keep things solid when handling large logs using the hydraulic crane and electric winch to lift and place the logs on the splitter cradle.
It works great. I am using it as a belt tensioner on our 1898 30 foot Pelton wheel at the North Star Museum. Probably not a use the manufacturer intended.

these worked out excellent for my project. i bought two 5k tongue jacks and mounted them behind rear axle to frame, left and right sides. this allows me to very easily level my trailer without having to put blocks under wheels. Trailer is very stable when in use, and is so fast when setting up and takedown.
