  Hello Todd. I have a solution for you, but unfortunately the lock and key set that come in the SportRack Trailer Combo, part # A32022 are randomized at the factory and can't be ordered to match. However, you can easily order the additional replacement cores with part # THLOCKN166 and get a change key with part # TH42BJ if you don't already have one to swap the locks on the kit to match your other Thule products. Additional Keys are available as part # THKEYN166.

  Can you get the lock unlocked? If so you can insert the Thule change key # 853-1251 into the core and then pull the core out all the way and replace it with a new one like the part # THLOCKN166 and then use the new key part # THKEYN166. To install the new lock core you'd just reverse the process described.

• Can't Remove Broken Key fro Thule Cargo Box. What Now?
  Thule unfortunately doesn't offer the cylinder or sleeve the lock core sits in as a replacement part. If the cylinder hasn't been damaged, there's a chance a locksmith could carefully drill the lock core out, because if that cylinder is damaged, there's not much that can be done other than using a couple of padlocks, hasps # H135-203E and # H115-204E staples to secure the box. It isn't a pretty solution, but it's less expensive than a new Thule cargo box.

  I've had good luck in the past using dental pics, working at both ends of the narrow edge of the broken-off key at the same time. Once you get a portion of the key slid out you can use a pair of pliers to grasp and remove the broken off portion. Most hardware stores sell an assortment of dental pics, they're handy to have around. If that fails, the best course of action is to drill out the lock core, however this must be done very carefully.
