Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CE17721. This is the CE Smith single axle trailer fender. The curved fender is going to cover one tire on your single axle trailer. Now fenders are going to act as splash guards, they're going to help keep road debris from hitting other vehicles on the road, and it's going to help protect whatever it is that you're hauling in your trailer's cargo area. This particular fender is going to be made from sturdy 16 gauge steel constructions. It's got the nice raw finish.
It can be primed and then painted to provide resistance to rust and corrosion and to match your trailer's paint finish. Now when it comes to the installation, you can weld this on or you can bolt this on. No pre-drilled mounting holes, so if you're going to bolt this on, it is going to require some mounting brackets for bolt on installation. Those are sold separately and they can be found right here etrailer.com. The product is made right here in the U.S.A. Again, it is designed for single axle trailers with 13-inch diameter wheels.
We're going to take a look at the overall dimensions of the fender, starting with the overall length measuring from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement. We're looking at about 25 and 3/4 of an inch long. It's going to give us an overall height measurement of 10 and 5/8 of an inch tall. If we take a look at the overall width measurement, measuring from edge to edge, it's going to be about 7 inches wide. With this part number you're going to get one fender and the fender itself is going to weight 5.4 pounds. That's going to do it for today's look at part number CE17721..

Nice quality fender and packed well for shipping. etrailer is a stand-up outfit and although they have no control over the USPS, Stacey was there every step of the way. USPS had the box for a lot longer than they should have which gives them a lot of time to abuse the merchandise. Because it was packed so well, it was undamaged.
I bought a axle, springs wheels, hubs etc. to build a utility trailer, I inadvertently had ordered incompatible hubs for the selected axle the person filling the order noticed this and contacted customer service to alert them of the issue who then called me to correct the problem. My boat trailer was struck by an inattentive driver damaging one fender,tire and axle. The trailer being 20 years old was no longer in production and no replacement fender was available. The CESmith steel fender was a close match and being steel, a local trailer mfg. was able to make a very suitable replacement. Am able to enjoy fishing again and the trailer looks good and pulls straight. Thanks!
We purchased a pair of these fenders to replace on our motorcycle trailer. They looked pretty solid when they arrived and we installed them (we also spray painted them black). Our ride from Dallas to Eureka Springs was uneventful (about six hours). But, on our way back, first the license plate was breaking off (possibly due to pretty poor roads in Oklahoma). And then in Texas, the fender bracket broke. We used duct tape and zip ties to hold it down the rest of our trip. Only went about 800 miles and it didn't last.

You could modify a little yourself for a rounder fit but, sits just fine as is for a 6" motorcycle and $[XX] cheaper.
The fenders I ordered arrived fast and in good shape they made my trailer look like new.
Good quality steel construction. Easy to install. Looks great after you paint them. Only took me 3 hour's to take the old ones off and install the new ones. Fast shipping too which is a plus.

Best selection to see and get the right part. Well described and presented. Last ones rusted from the salt water. Takes a little time and work to drill some holes and prime and paint them, but this small custom boat trailer needed it. Sure I could go aluminum but that even looks bad with time. I am sure these will last as long as the trailer.

As a side note I build hotrods and sometime back I bought a couple of fenders from your company for a Model A roadster that I am building. They fit like they were made for it as well as being wide enough to cover the fat rear tires and heavier duty too boot. So at car shows I make sure to promote etrailer as a reliable source for some great fenders for a hotrod.
I’ve used this as a motorcycle sidecar fender for about a year now. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for it, but I remember it being reasonable with shipping. The quality is great, I broke off a chunk of metal where I had it mounted after repeated torture (no fault of the fender). I was able to weld it back up withou blowing through it. There’s plenty of metal on these, and would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it.
2000# axle with 13 inch wheels replaced eight inch wheels. Fenders seem to be very solid.

My fender mounting design is rock solid.
I'm very happy with the CE Smith, steel fenders I bought for my teardrop trailer project. They are definitely sturdy, welded on nicely, and took paint well. A year later, and with 8 camping trips logged, I'm still very pleased with my purchase. The price was reasonable, and delivery was quick! Thanks!

My steel fenders have been on my camper for two years now and have held up very well. Paint stuck to them very well. Super happy with them.
These fenders are great. I bought a 1968 aluminum boat and trailer last year. It had the original tires/wheels (10") and fenders. I wanted to upgrade to 13" tires/wheels. Once I widened the axle, I welded a 5/8" round fore and aft on the trailer frame, then welded the fenders into place. Primed and painted, and these look awesome. Great quality. Thanks etrailer.

Fenders are still impressive. Look as good as the day they arrived. Ive since learned that I can even use them as a step- showing how well they are made.
