No more hammering in races or trying to get them seated just right. The DeeMaxx hub comes with both inner (L68111) and outer (L44610) races already pressed in at the factory. All you need to add are the bearings, grease seal, and cap—then you’re ready to mount it up. It’s a clean setup that saves time and keeps everything aligned from the start.
This hub can be run as a standard idler or paired with a 10" slip-on rotor for disc brake setups. That flexibility makes it easy to refresh your current setup or prep for a brake upgrade down the road. The 1/2"-20 x 2" wheel studs are long enough for over-the-hub rotors or thicker custom wheels, giving you room to build out your trailer the way you want it.
With a 1,750-lb weight capacity per hub, this assembly is ready for steady towing and long runs. It’s designed for 13", 14", 14-1/2", and 15" wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and uses standard bearings—inner L68149 (1.378") and outer L44649 (1.063")—sold separately. Sturdy, straightforward, and dependable, it’s built to keep your trailer rolling smooth mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Now, this is a marine-grade trailer hub that's going to fit your idler axles. It also can be paired with an over-the-hub 10 inch diameter rotor for your disc brake applications. This does have a galvanized steel construction, so it is gonna be very durable and corrosion resistant, will be great for your boat, trailers, or your snowmobile trailers. This does have a weight capacity that will make it ideal for your 3,500 pound capacity axles with the #84 spindles.
The wheel studs here are half inch in diameter by two inches long with that 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Having those long studs is going to allow you to mount an over-the-hub brake rotor or a custom wheel with a thick mounting face, and so that's going to give you lots of options there. The races are included, you have both your inner and your outer races. For those of you who would like that information, you can see those race numbers on the screen there. The bearings as well as the grease seal are not included, but you can see the compatible bearing numbers and that grease seal number there on the screen.

I installed new hubs because I ordered the wrong Hydra Star brake system (rotors only), the hubs assembled without issues. I also installed the Comfort Ride Slipper System when I did the Hydra Star brakes.
I have around 250 miles on this setup traveling through SE Kansas, SW Missouri and NW Arkansas. The road from Joplin to Eureka Springs AR was a hair raising experience, 2 lane 15 to 35 mph curves with the side of the mountain 3 feet from the edge of the road. I was glad to have the new hydraulic brake system, I would not tow another camper without them.
I know this review covers more than the hubs but everything worked well. I would purchase everything again. I would also like to mention shipping, I ordered them Friday at 4pm and received on Tuesday. Thanks
Although galvanized, I sprayed the hubs with galvanizing paint (2 coats) to act as a paint primer. Then sprayed with black paint (2 coats). No rust and paint is tightly adhered one year later. I also purchased stainless grease caps at installation because the standard caps always rust. Fit, form, function, and finish worked great for my saltwater boat trailer.
