Features to know about

Smooth, Steady Towing: 2,200-lb Round Axle with Zero Camber Bend

A stable tow starts with an axle that tracks straight and smooth. This 60" round trailer axle is built from high-strength steel and rated for 2,200 lbs. The tube has a precision bend that creates a zero-camber angle, giving even road-to-tread contact across the tires. That means less bounce and better control for steady, in-line towing on every trip.

Easy Maintenance on the Road: Straight Easy Grease Spindles

Keeping bearings in shape is simple with the straight Easy Grease spindles. Each spindle has a built-in grease zerk so you can add grease without pulling the hub apart. The grease caps include rubber plugs for quick access—just remove the plug, add grease, and you’re done. It saves time and keeps the hub running smooth mile after mile.

Ready to Roll: Pre-Greased Idler Hubs with 5 on 4-1/2” Pattern

No need to pack bearings or hunt for hardware—the cast-iron idler hubs come pre-greased and assembled with bearings, races, seals, and lug nuts. The hubs have a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and fit 8" to 12" wheels. Each hub uses L44649 bearings, L44610 races, and a 10-9 double-lip grease seal (1.50" inner diameter, 1.987" outer diameter). They’re sturdy, sealed, and ready to mount.

Low, Easy Loading: Underslung Leaf Spring Design

The spring seats are welded to the underside of the axle so the leaf springs (sold separately) mount beneath it. This underslung setup gives a lower ride height that makes loading and unloading easier while keeping the trailer stable. With 48" spring-center spacing and a 1-3/4" axle diameter, the dimensions are dialed in for a reliable fit.

Built Strong and Certified Safe: Tested to CSA, QAI, and SAE-N Standards

This axle and hub assembly meets CSA, QAI, and SAE-N certifications. It’s been thoroughly tested for braking performance and structural integrity. The patented weld process strengthens the spindles by 40%, preventing failure under load. It’s a durable, road-ready axle built for confident towing at highway speeds up to 70 mph.

With the info provided it was very easy to identify the correct axle for my trailer. Ordering was easy and quick. Delivery was as quoted.
by:
I was a little disappointed that the axle came without the hubs installed on it,the grease zerks were damaged and I had to replace them,no big deal just something to be aware of, but the quality is great overall
by:
Bearings where packed and installed already. All I had to do was install the huds.

Fit with little modification. My trailer is from 1985/1986 and has been in the family since new. After all of the years of use and abuse, the original axle finally had enough as it was bent from being overloaded a few too many times. Very happy with this kit as it came with everything needed and has handled everything I threw at it this past year.

An excellent choice for my kayak trailer project. 2000# rated and a great match for the other components, springs, hangers and spring mounts.

@KateF Kate, we do an annual kayaking/ canoe trip to a small lake just Northeast of Yosemite national Park. We paddle in about 3 mi and then primitive camp for a week! Several years ago we converted an old Hobie Cat trailer into our 10 place kayak trailer.  On a trip to Deadwood reservoir in Idaho, the trailer undercarriage failed when both leaf springs broke in half. We had the redneck engineer the heck out of the trailer to get it all the way back to California. That's when we decided to rebuild the undercarriage and use all the components that we got from e-trailer.  Great prices, Great quality and that made the project really easy.

@David I just looked up Deadwood reservoir in Idaho and it looks amazing! I hope you guys have a blast! Yes, we try to stay competitive, and I really do enjoy working here because they want us to treat our customers like neighbors, I wouldn't have it any other way. Safe travels, and if anything comes up in the future always remember that etrailer has your back =)

Looks to be a well made product but I was disappointed to see it was not US made.. I went with this axel because it is far superior to any I could find for small farm trailer use.. The hubs I got and measured are roughly 2-1/2 inches or 63mm and I could not find this in the specs.. My rims will fit but won't be hub-centric so they will be centered and ride on the lug nuts alone.. I am cutting a foot out of the center of the axle then splicing it together to narrow it for my application so no warranty for me.. This axle and pair of hubs with real bearing should last a very long time on the farm hauling dirt, mulch, stones, firewood..

Delivery extremely quick. Very helpful custservice. Only thing….the axle and hub combo did NOT include new castle nuts, washer or new cotter pin.

Had to return. Did not match up with old axel. Called customer service and to order special setup for older boat axel. Waiting on new order which I’ll have to weld kit on axel to match old set up. Thanks to customer service.

Well made. Will give my trailer another 10 years!
by:

My son converted the small trailer that this axle was used on from carrying a small quad to an overland camping trailer. Its been all over Texas and all the way up to Montana and back. No issues. Still highly recommended.

I bought this axle and hubs to replace my broken and worn axle that was left on the side of the road. I had tried a quick fix, but the axle from a local store was too narrow. I found this trailer axle and hub kit and it was the correct assembly to fit my trailer. I was able to replace the worn-out axle and hubs. The new trailer axle and hubs handle my load of the trailer with two Jet Skis, along with a toolbox and extra gas cans. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. A year later I just came home from another trip with the trailer and everything is working great. I had a fabrication shop weld the spring mounts on the trailer axle when I replaced it and it tracks straight down the road. Not bad from a 75-year-old retired guy.

Not bad at all, James! I hope when I'm 75 I'll be able to fix my trailer and cruse down the road hauling some jet skis too! When's the next time you get to take them out on the water?

Will install tomorrow then able to write a review

  • When Installing Hubs On An Axle Should They Spin Freely Or Should There Be Some Resistance?
Hey Monty, When installing hubs on an axle they should turn freely. Initially you will feel slight resistance but once the seals set it should be able to turn freely. Some things that may cause resistance could be a damage or improperly pressed bearing or an over tightened axle nut. The one that spins freely sounds like everything is alright, the one with resistance could be a damaged seal in my opinion. When you received them did you notice any damage to the packing/item itself upon...

  • Replacement Axle for a Trailer w/ 84.25 Hub Face and 72” Spring Center
Hey Charles, thanks for the measurements. The closest axle I have to yours is the Trailer Axle Beam item # e33GR. This axle has a 86-1/2" hub face with a 71-1/2" spring center. This might work depending on your fender setup. The hubs are going to stick out an additional 1.125" on either side. The spring seats being off 1/4" will be fine. What lug nut pattern are you currently using? The item # e33GR is a 6,000 lbs axle so depending on how big your boat trailer is you may not be able to...

  • Replacement 60 Inch Long Axle with 49-1/2 Inch Spring Center for Boat Trailer
Assuming you are looking for a 2,200 lb axle you can use the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs # e94YR. If you do not need the hubs then we also have the Trailer Idler Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs # e43GR. The spring seat measurement on both of these is 48" but there is a solution for that. You will need to cut off the spring seats and add the # TRSS175 to match your 49-1/2" measurement. Make sure this is performed...

  • How To Install Grease Seals
If you're speaking of a # 10-9 grease seal like what would be used with the # e94YR 2.2 K axle you'd looked at, you'd want to use a double lip seal, like what's included with the axle. The seal is installed so it's flush with the inner hub face. This would apply to any trailer the axle is used on. This particular axle features EZ Lube type spindles, which have the grease zerks on them so grease can be added. The grease caps feature rubber plugs, so you can access the zerk fitting without...

  • Can etrailer Axle # e94YR Travel 65-70 MPH
Yes, the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e94YR is rated to easily go 60 to 70 mph. It's typically the tire that is what limits the speed rating and not the hub or axle. We do not have a spring over variation like you mentioned.

  • Availability of a 2,000LB Trailer Axle With 60" Spring Center
The Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e32GR is the closest we have to a 60" spring center for a 2,000lb trailer axle. These have a spring center of 58" with a hub face length of 72". It includes idler hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. You can have new Spring Seats # TRSS175 welded to the axle in the 60" spring center you need. The axle requires a minimal overhang of 11-1/2" which you would have 12" with a 60" spring center and 72" hub face measurement.
