When you’re loading or unloading, you don’t want to fight with a cover that sticks or takes forever to open. The Switchblade uses a heavy-duty tension spring that automatically retracts the cover into its canister when you squeeze the pinch grips under the rear plate. It slides back smoothly and stays protected in the front canister, so you can get to your gear fast and still have clear visibility out of the rear window.
Sometimes you need every inch of your bed for hauling bigger gear. This cover can be completely removed or reinstalled by one person in about 10 minutes using just a wrench and screwdriver. Detach the canister from the rails, lift it out, and you’ve got full use of your bed from front to back. When you’re done, reinstalling it is just as quick, so your cargo is protected again right away.
Rain, snow, and road grime are no match for the ArmorTek deck. The black vinyl top layer is bonded to rigid aluminum panels to combine a seamless soft-cover look with hard-cover strength. Foam seals under the rails and at the bulkhead keep out water, while a large rear seal closes the gap at the tailgate. Drain tubes in the canister channel water through the bed floor to keep everything inside dry.
The side rails sit just 1/8" above the bed rails for a low-profile look that blends right in. The aerodynamic shape helps reduce wind drag when closed, which can improve gas mileage over time. The compact canister design also leaves more room in your bed for cargo without blocking your rear window.
When the tailgate is locked, so is the cover. The pinch grips and pull strap sit underneath the rear plate, out of reach when closed. The rigid aluminum panels make it much tougher to cut or pry open than soft covers or tri-fold designs, so gear stays secure wherever you park.

Within three months the seals along the rails warped in the sun making it nearly impossible to slide the cover open or closed. I have upgraded my cover to a Bakflip MX4. I can’t share photos because I discarded the whole cover.

I threw it away and replaced it with one that worked.
Easy install. Works great.I really like how easy it is to close or open and the slatted cover is a great security feature.
Received order quickly. Install was smooth. Cover was what I expected. A few small adjustments and everything functioned well!

Fits great with easy installation.
Tonneau cover came quickly. It installed a exactly as it was supposed to. Seems a little tight but not binding. Looks awesome.
An installation video would be a lot better, especially for the do it yourselfer.
Leaks water like crazy by the cab ,, worse than at the tailgate.I should’ve bought rough contry again

I’m really sorry to hear about the leaking you’re seeing with your new Pace Edwards Switchblade cover Brian. Since it was just installed, a few quick checks usually take care of this. First, make sure both rails are sitting flat and level on the bed sides and that the clamps are tightened evenly. If the rails are slightly off, water can slip past the seals. Next, check the front seal between the canister and the truck bed near the cab. Any gaps or loose contact there are the most common source of leaks. Try running a light stream of water along that front edge with the cover open to see exactly where it’s coming through. Also look inside the rails for debris or pinched drain tubes since those channels are meant to carry water out. If the rubber seals look uneven or flattened, gently reseat them or add a thin strip of weather-sealing to improve contact. After these adjustments, the cover should seal much better. If you still see water getting in, please let us me know! Lots of pictures of the install as well so I can forward them over to the manufacturer to see how we can get your cover excellent working order!
Seems ok Didn't realize it had a vinyl cover over top or wouldn't have purchased . Hopefully it will hold up. Installation wasn't to bad just make sure to level rails when done to make sure it slides right. Also has large gaps buy tailgate on both sides that I will need to fill with weather stripping or it will leak bad. It will be a pain to take out if needed as you will have to take rails and all out. Looks ok but doubt it will last very long due to Vinyl covering and wont hold up in severe weather. Personally I wouldn't purchase it again when this one craters.
Packaging was great, haven’t installed yet my truck is in for service.
Went through directions and all parts seem to be there.

This cover is a great product and performs well. Glad I purchased it. The only shortfall is that a small gap exists in each corner between the tailgate and the cover when closed which can allow rain to enter. Adding two short pieces of weather strip helps this. Love the ease of closing and opening the cover, no climbing into the truck needed.
Loving this cover so far. My teenage son and I were able to install it in about an hour. Looks really good on my truck and fits well. Operates smoothly and appears to seal well.

Great tonneau cover fits great and does not leak except for a few drips in heavy rain or car wash. Easy to close very happy with my purchase. The install was easy to do by myself.
Great bed cover it’s a little tight but hey that’s fine with me.
Great product to use on my 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 2500HD that has a BW slide 5th wheel. With the cover retracted I can tow my 37 foot 5th wheel with no rurning clearance worries. When closed this is a good looking addition to my truck and keeps prying eyes off of what's in the bed.Installation was pretty easy, but instructions could use a little bit of work.
The bed cover is amazing! I have a low bed rack that doesn’t work with a folding cover, so this retractable cover was the perfect choice. Now I can leave the rack in place and access the bed. Installation was pretty easy, a little confusing just from the directions, but it probably would have been easier if I watched a video. The clamps weren’t intuitive, but made sense once they were in and feel super secure. I’ve only had it in for a few days, but just took the truck camping for a long weekend and used the cover a bunch. I can’t speak to the longevity yet, but so far, so good!

A year later and the cover is still working great. I do have to say that it leaks like a sieve at the tailgate, but that’s the only issue. It’s hard coming from a tri-fold that completely covers the bed and kept water out, but the benefits still outweigh this one con. It’s holding up great and still slides flawlessly. I probably don’t lubricate it quite as much as I should, but the few times I’ve done it has helped it slide like new again.

While I am definitely not against the upgrade, Im a fan of Bakflip products myself. There are some ways that you can prevent the Tonneau cover from warping in the sun, instead of getting rid of it. I am sorry that we didnt get in touch sooner on this and you had to spend more money on another cover. If you are consistent with lubricating the seals at least once a month, something like 303 Aerospace protectant or Blaster Graphite spray will work. Another potential issue could be that the seals sometimes get turned under the wrong way, instead of laying flat on top of the cover, which will damage them. It also could be that the tailgate seal is not cut down to proper length, if the tailgate seal is left too long and part of it rides under the sweep seals in the rail track itself. That will also damage the sweep seals.
