Question:

I just bought the bakflip MX4 for my 2022 gmc 2500 AT4 and was hoping that I could see my gooseneck ball in the bed. I tried everything that I could read on line but nothing would work. I can see right to the wheel wells but not my ball. Can you help. I love the top. I adjusted the bumper pads so it barely does not touch my cab. 1” away. But no better. Please help.

Hey Robert, unfortunately that's about as good as it gets with the BAKflip # BAK52FR. The only thing you could do to improve your view of your trailer is to fold it up against the cab - which you've already done. Apart from getting rid of it, there isn't much more you can do.

You'd be better off using a retractable cover like the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # PE63CV which would completely retract exposing your entire bed.

I know that's not what you really wanted to do, but there really isn't a better solution. If there is anything else I can help you with though, please don't hesitate to drop a comment and let me know.

Hey Robert, did you end up trying the retractable cover option to get a better view of your gooseneck ball? Knowing how that worked out could help others looking for the same setup on their truck.
