Question:

I am going to be traveling with my camper for a few months and stopping at several campgrounds along the way. My 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 has a B&W slider fifth wheel hitch and I want to protect it when I'm not hauling the camper. Can I install a tonneau cover on my bed.

Yes, you can use a tonneau cover on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3775 installed. The top of the hitch will sit between 17" and 19" above the factory mounting points inside your bed.

I recommend using the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # PE63CV for your short bed truck. This cover will sit flush with your bed rails so that there is no concern of the rails sitting higher on the bed and contacting the underside of the 5th wheel. Since this is a hard retractable tonneau it rolls up inside the cassette that mounts at the front of the bed allowing you to still see through your rear window when you hitch up. And with the tonneau closed and your tailgate locked your cargo is secure in the bed of the truck.
