2003 Chevrolet Silverado

The rollback cover is excellent. It is designed well, and went on my 2003 Silverado easily and it fits well. The only negative I have with my new cover is when it arrived from the manufacturer (BAK), it was full of aluminum chips. As I unrolled it to install it they were wrapped into the cover. I was getting aluminum chips everywhere. The cover had them rolled in the fabric cover, I got them on/in my hands, and on the painted surface of my truck. That was my only concern. eTrailer.com is to be commented on their commitment to customer service. They kept me informed on the progress of the tonneau build continually. Thanks to all at eTrailer.

I like the idea of this cover rolling open or closed and the fact it locks when closed. Problem is the plastic guides that push into the aluminum rails do not stay in place. When rolled open and strapped down bouncing down highway the weight of the cover pushes these plastic guides out and allows seal to be damaged and to come out of its grove. I had to insert pieces of wood into the track to hold guides in place at front of track. I pull a 44 ft toy hauler around USA so cover stays rolled open for weeks at a time. The weight of rolled up cover smashes the guide pieces out of place. In the picture that’s paint stir sticks with foil tape on them so they stay dry.

Overall I'm satisfied with the product, but for the price I expected a little better attention to detail. The fit and finish leaves something to be desired. All the parts are just cut and are not finished or cut evenly for that matter (see pics). It gives the overall feeling of a hastily finished product. Plus I've already to replaced some parts due to breakage. Fortunately they were rreplaced free of charge. But it does the job and fits my needs, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

Hi Laura - I am still pleased with my BAK bed cover. I dont like it quite as well as the previous version I had on my other 2013 Nissan Frontier truck which got stolen, hence the new cover, but I am still pleased with the product. The new cover doesnt roll or latch quite as smoothly as the old one, but it still works well. They also slightly changed the clips for anchoring the rolled up cover, and I find them harder to clip in and maintain tension on the strap, but again they do work. Thanks for following up.

Great tonneau cover! It's amazing how easily a well made product installs. I replaced my soft folding IMPORTED tonneau cover with this sweet piece and I can honestly say I now understand the difference in price. The Revolver X2 fits flush, looks great, closes securely, and just makes me feel a little cooler knowing it's back there ( I need all the help I can get). Bottom line, I was apprehensive spending so much for a tonneau cover but now that I did I will shout from the rooftops "YOU GOTTA GET ONE OF THESE REVOLVER X2s!" etrailer is a no-brainer as well, you can buy BAK tonneau covers from dozens of other retailers but I know etrailer, I trust etrailer, and I know if there's ever a problem (which I doubt there will be) etrailer will be there to fix it.

Toyota Tundra

I couldn't be more pleased by this tonneau cover except if they found a way to make it magically disappear into the cab when I want to use the whole bed. It did its job throughout both summer and winter, keeping snow and rain out of the bed of my Tundra. By virtue of its unique rolling design, it's also one of the few options compatible with my TracRac: I can fully roll and unroll it no matter where the racks are placed.

We bought (2) of these covers a year ago and would definitely highly recommend them. This is a well thought-out, nicely featured and well designed product of excellent quality. In the past we used Velcro strip hold-down "tarp-type" Tonneau covers in the past and will never go back. These covers roll up effortlessly and very quickly compared to the Velcro type. And, (as long as you keep the lock-down bar & track clean) they just as effortlessly roll out, lay down, lock down, and stay down - no stretching and having to take time working to get the tarp tight so that it doesn't "flap" in the wind. Wonderful product.

Clean look and easy to use. Still very satisfied with my purchase after 1 year. I installed it on a 2018 Honda ridgeline. My only complaint is when I purchased the product, it took them 3 delivery to provide the right attachment parts for my vehicle. Poor workmanship from the manufacturer. This problem as nothing to do with etrailer, which I'm happy with.

This is the worst tonneau cover I’ve ever dealt with in my life. The latching system is complete garbage. I have it adjust as far back as it can go and it does not leave the latches closed. You hit one bump one the road and it slides off the latch and the sides come up with any little gust of wind. I am currently on my 4th warranty claim with them in 11 months second full cover replacement. Wish they would just give me a refund.

I am really glad I bought this cover. I looked and looked and ended up with this hardtop aluminum roll-up cover. It was easy to install, fits well and is secure. I am able to roll it up and snap it down and still pull a fifth wheel without having to remove the cover, a big plus.

My only issue is the tie down buckle and straps are poorly conceived. The snaps should be redesigned for easier access and use. One of the snaps broke early on and I had to find a replacement.

2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

Secure straps for when the tonneau cover is rolled up ripped out of the washers holding to the frame. Tarp pulled away from rubber seal causing water leak. Latches on the side of the cover dont always latch into the track.

The roll up cover has performed very well in cold temperatures and warm. The top is water proof even when sprayed at the car wash. I like the security provided when the tailgate is locked. Overall very happy and would purchase this again.

I have found the cover easy to install. It still works fine 1 year later. It is easy to roll up using one hand. The only problem I experienced so far is occasinal failure of the wire to release the cover on the driver side of the cover when operatred from the tailgate on the passenger side. Its otherwise been a perfect product keeping even the worst rain and snow out of the back of my pickup.

I purchased this cover about a year ago for my 2019 Nissan Titan. I was happy with the appearance, it makes the truck stand out like no other. I can store things in the back, like luggage when traveling and it is secured and it will not leak. The cover itself is pretty sturdy, I have sit about 100 Lbs. on it and it doesn't bow in. I have the leather edition and it is easy to clean. It looks new even after a year, But maintenance is required to keep it looking good. Just keeping it clean and leather conditioner keeps it looking spectacular.

I have had this cover for one year and I would not buy it again. I read the reviews about how terrible this design is in climates that has freezing temps, but I live in New Orleans so freezing rain and snow was not a concern.

Turns out it’s not just cold weather and ice that ruins this, so doesn’t the sun and heat. The vinyl cover that you see when the cover is down is glued to a bunch of aluminum pieces and this design allows it to roll up and down. When the sun heats up the vinyl the glue separates from the aluminum sections and the cover will not roll up or down.

Don’t get me wrong, the concept is great, but the companies execution is off. I think I bought the second iteration and if I were you I would wait until the 6th or 7th version. They are far from getting this design right.

Love my BAK Tonneau cover. If there was one thing I've had an issue with is in the winter the track can freeze down and stop you from opening the cover. But other then that I am very happy with it.

2008 Chevrolet Silverado

The only issue I've experienced with this cover that I was not pleased with was it blew up from one corner during a very strong crosswind and several of the plastic rail clips broke. I consider it an anomaly since its never happened again. BAK sent me replacement parts at no cost. The repair was simple.
On the positive side the cover gives you additional security from theft due to its construction. It's expensive but I feel worth the money, especially when protection of valuable cargo is needed.

The felt-like lining that lies on underside of cover (and acts as cushion for rolling?) had bad glue job. This material came off in under 1 year. Appears that the glue was not meant for hot weather, as it came off in summer heat. Disappointed. Mfg website does not provide instructions on what glue to use to reattach, so had to experiment to find glue that would work to reattach. Perhaps in future they should use mechanical attachment instead of glue method...

I question whether it's a genuine Revolver product. The fit is very poor. The quality is bad. It's not my first Tonneau cover and the one for my other truck is the genuine product. I feel this is a knock-off. There is a significant indicator also - it doesn't contain the Revolver label.

Hard Tonneau Cover that Works when Towing a Gooseneck Trailer with Cover Retracted 2016 Ford F-350
You would most likely have to fold Tonneau cover # BAK72310 all the way up in order to have enough clearance to couple to the gooseneck hitch and/or have enough clearance to safely tow the trailer without damaging the cover. But when folded up all the way it will work, it would just block the view from the rear window. Another option that would work is the BAK Revolver X2 hard roll-up cover, # BAK39310.

I do have an option for you but The TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover - Hinged - Roll Up part # TX769101 on the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty is not compatible with the Thule TracRac part # TH43003XT-510 because the cover's rails install too closely to the bed rails so the ladder rack track would not have room for installation. Comparing the BAKFlip MX4 and BAK Revolution X2 Tonneau Covers Being Used With a TracRac Rack
I contacted the manufacturer of the BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover, # BAK48310, and they told me all though using this cover may work with the TracRac SR, # TH43003XT-510, they cannot confirm that when folding the cover all the way to the cab will or will not interfere with the ladder rack arms. The Revolver Bak Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK39310 will work with the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-510 because the F1 installs inside of the bed rails rather than on top of the rails. Headache Rack Recommendation for Use With Tonneau on 2014 Ford F-350
For your 2014 Ford F-350 short bed we have the Aries AdvandEdge Headache Rack part # AA1110203 which can fit with a tonneau cover as long as the tonneau mounts between the rails of the bed and not on top at all. Reason this rack fits with that is because it attaches be securing to the stake pockets and does not wrap around the inside of the bed at all. Retractable Tonneau Cover for 2014 Ford F-250 Short Bed Towing Fifth Wheel
If the plan was to tow a fifth wheel trailer a hard roll up tonneau cover like the BAK Revolver X2 part # BAK39310 would not be my first choice for your 2014 Ford F-250 short bed since when it's rolled up the overhang of the fifth wheel trailer could potentially hit it and damage it. Instead a retractable cover like the Pace Edwards Switchblade part # 311-SWF6985 would be what you'd want as it spools up below the bed rails and wouldn't be in the way.

I have a solution for you, but we have found that the BAKFlip F1 # BAJ72310 tonneau cover is not compatible with the TracRack SR Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-510. This is due to the fact that the rubber seal along the outside of the tonneau cover contacts the base of the ladder rack with folding the tonneau cover. The only hard tonneau cover we have a confirmed fit with the TracRac SR # TH43003XT-510 is the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Aluminum and Vinyl # BAK39310. This is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ford F-350.
