I saw in a review the the plastic parts fitting in the bed rail broke when rolled up while pulling a fifth wheel rv.

If the plan was to tow a fifth wheel trailer a hard roll up tonneau cover like the BAK Revolver X2 part # BAK39310 would not be my first choice for your 2014 Ford F-250 short bed since when it's rolled up the overhang of the fifth wheel trailer could potentially hit it and damage it. Instead a retractable cover like the Pace Edwards Switchblade part # 311-SWF6985 would be what you'd want as it spools up below the bed rails and wouldn't be in the way.
