Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this T one vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2022 and newer BMW X3 models. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this kit here will provide this four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle.

The power of your trailer signal lights. This connector is compatible with the five poles, six pole, and seven pole adapters that we do sell separate on our website. And this kit does connect very quickly and easily. All you have to do is locate your connection points which will be in the rear cargo area. Plug in these T connectors, one on each side, and then ground your white wire right here.

And then just run your power wire to the vehicle's battery. Now it does include this black box here which is a circuit protected tail light converter. And this is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module, connects directly to the battery, and that's to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Also, if you notice on the four-way, comes with this built-in integrated dust cover.

So when you're not plugged into your trailer, you can actually take this cover, put it over the terminals and it protects them from any elements or from any damage. Few specs on this kit, the maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuit is five amps per circuit. Tail lights, 7.5 amps. Now I do want to go through and just show you how all these parts connect briefly. It does come with a nice set of instructions.

It'll describe how it all goes together and where your connection points are. But as we mentioned, what you'll do is go to the rear cargo area and you'll find your connectors. These are your two connectors. You'll start with the driver's side and use this one with the yellow wire in it. That's for the driver's side. You'll unplug the connectors on your vehicle, plug this in there, and then you'll go to the passenger side and take this side with the green wire, has a length of green wire, that'll run over to the passenger side. And same way, you'll plug that in just like that. Now the white wire right here it has a length of it with an eyelet on it. You do want to connect that to a good clean ground if there's one nearby. If not, they do include this grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And then this converter box does have a little weight to it so you do want to attach that to an nice flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. They do have a bracket on it with a hole that you can put a screw in there, or they do include a piece of double face tape that'll hold it into place. Once that's all attached, you'll run this four-way out back towards your trailer, and then you'll have one last connection to make. And that's this power wire right here. This'll run to your vehicle's battery. And to do that they give you the extra length of wire to do that. And you don't wanna wanna run it directly to the battery. You wanna run it through this inline fuse holder. So they do give you the connectors. You put a butt connector on this. Connect one under this wire, run your length of wire to your battery. Once you get up to the battery on that end take another butt connector and connect that to the one side of the fuse, inline fuse holder. On the other side you'll take the included eyelet connector, connect it and then this will connect to your battery. Once it's all connected, just pop open the inline fuse holder. Take the included 15 amp fuse, insert it into the fuse holder. And once it's inserted, put your cap back on and now your system's all ready to go. If you notice they do give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring.
