Wiring a trailer can be tricky if you’re dealing with splicing or tracing wires, but this harness avoids all that. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs right into the vehicle’s factory connectors located behind interior trim panels. Once the plugs are in place, you just route the included hot lead up to the battery and hook it to the fuse holder. It’s a straightforward plug-in setup that keeps your factory wiring intact and clean.
This harness includes a powered converter that draws power directly from the battery instead of pulling it through the vehicle’s taillight circuits. That protects sensitive electronics from overload or potential shorting while also ensuring steady current for trailer lights. It’s a safe setup that keeps your towing lights bright and consistent without overworking your vehicle’s wiring.
The included 4-flat plug provides the standard trailer lighting functions—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—so your trailer stays visible and compliant on the road. The flat connector is easy to use and works with most small and mid-size trailers, giving you everything you need for safe towing of light loads or accessories.
The connectors mount behind interior trim in the cargo area, keeping everything tucked away and out of sight once installed. This hidden design helps protect wiring from wear, gives a factory-finished look, and keeps your cargo area uncluttered when the harness isn’t in use.

Perfect fit for my Volvo
Exactly what I needed and expedited faster than I thought it would arrive! Great. Would use this company again.
Very easy install!
Great instructions, easy to follow and install
Simple installation, directions are great. Hardest part was running the one wire to the battery. Otherwise it was a breeze!
Your notices for Shipping details and the progress of the parcel's shipping were the best I have experienced.
Only thought was the instructions seemed to be for a Ford Escape.
Direct fit, quick and easy install on 2011 Volvo XC70. Instructions were clear and helpful
Great product. Easy to install. Fast shipping and well packed to eliminate damage.
Super easy install. Works great. I needed a YouTube video to assist though.
It really can't be any easier, just plug and play. The hardest part was running the power wire under and through rocker panels from the battery to the back of the car. It's one wire and NOT difficult just a little time consuming, the rest is unplug and plug back in.
Haven't turned it on yet, but completing installation. Looks like good quality, and instructions are decent, including pictures. However, the instructions incorrectly state both side trim panels should be removed. Only the driver's side needs to be removed, to route the T connectors to the ceiling light. The lower portion of trim that extends along the luggage area does not need to be removed. Pop the rear end out of a few hidden fasteners, and flex it to slip the T connectors under it and upwards. The only significant issue I found for a "custom" fit, is the ground wire needs to be 2' longer to reach the ground point in the rear of the spare tire area. There is no ground screw in the driver's side tailight area, and I was unwilling to drill a hole in metal without knowing what is on the other side. Do NOT use a nut on one of the mounting screws of the tailight - they are not ground. I had to splice a 2' piece of wire into the ground wire (not supplied). Assuming this works as intended I will be very happy.
Fairly easy to install. Connectors fit well and are good quality. The first one I got had the wrong harness in the package. The second was missing a sheet of instructions. So open it ahead of time to make sure all is good. The instructions were close. I needed an 8 mm instead of 10 and removing the side screws and floor covering was unnecessary extra work. There’s a fuse box in the rear with an empty spot for the factory trailer harness so it’s easy to tap power there.
Replaced Trailer lighting unit in 2010 Volvo XC70. Dealer could not fix. .. Wiring kit designed to be an easy installation or replacement of Trailer wiring. The biggest effort is gaining access to each connection of the brake & tail light wires. Once each connector is located, disconnect plastic connector, insert trailer in/out connector pairs, route wires to each location. .. then, to power and ground the electronic box I used existing power wire and ground location. Be prepared to connect into existing wires with connecting clips. I purchased extra connection clips not supplied (Find at auto supply with trailer lights). New System Works great with LED or incandescent lights.
I called to get information on a trailer hitch for my car. The information I received was great. Based on the information, I ordered a hitch and wiring harness online. The items arrived on time. The installation was easy thanks to the excellent videos on your website.
The wiring harness went on the Volvo XC70 without a problem. It took about 2.5 hours to finish the job. One has to remove all the trim and floor from the rear of the station wagon. The ''plug and pray'' wire set came with good, understandable instructions. [prayers were answered''.
I would have attached a short video clip od 4 way flashers in action but a screen shot will have to do.... Thanks JOHN
