Wiring for towing doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs inline with the tail light connectors to give you a 4-pole flat trailer connector. It’s a mostly plug-in setup that keeps the job clean and simple, so you can get your trailer lights working without rewiring your vehicle.
The included powered converter routes the trailer lighting power through a dedicated 12V wire that runs to the vehicle battery. This design keeps the trailer load off the factory circuits so your car’s wiring stays safe from overloads or shorts. Even if the module loses power, your vehicle lights continue to work normally.
The harness uses a 12V hot lead that supplies direct power for the trailer lights. This helps ensure consistent brightness and dependable turn, brake, and running light signals even on longer wiring runs or with multiple lamps. It’s the same circuit used in testing by Curt for stable performance.
Running the black power wire is straightforward thanks to existing grommets and factory channels under the car. You can route it cleanly up the firewall and along existing wiring, securing it with zip ties and finishing with a fuse near the battery for easy access. The end result is a tidy install that looks built-in.
Once installed, you get a standard 4-flat connector that powers running lights, turn signals, and brake lights on most small and medium trailers. It’s durable and convenient for quick plug-ins whenever you’re ready to tow.

Good product
Great
Exactly as expected.
Love it
Received the package on time, and install was very simple.
This product was easy to install while the car was on a lift as I opted to run the power wire on the outside of the vehicle. It worked great right from the start and did not interfere with tail light functionality. Overall a great product.
Took about twice as long to install than the hitch but mainly because I took my time. The trunk part of the installation was really quick and everything fit great! The tricky part was the run up to the battery for power - this was daunting until I watched the etrailer video and saw how they ran the wire under the car, not through the interior. Once I figured this out the install only took about 2 hours (again, I was in no hurry and was very cautious). I used a fish tape to run the wire through the channel and up the fire wall for the everything ahead of the rear wheels. Great product and advice, thanks!
I haven’t installed it yet. But,
It looks comprehensive and if it’s as easy to install as the trailer hitch, this will be a piece of cake.
Great customer service and on time delivery. Harness work perfectly and was a breeze to install. Made a mistake of ordering the harness from a national auto parts distributer on April 4th and it wasn't shipped until April 12th and I still can't track it. Ordered the trailer hitch from another national auto parts distributer and when I got it it was damaged. My advise to anyone is if you need to purchase any trailer related gear get it form it form a company that knows what they are doing like etrailer.
