Some wiring kits need a separate power wire run up to the battery, but this one doesn’t. The Curt T-Connector plugs straight into the vehicle’s existing tail light circuits, so there’s no extra wire routing or splicing required. It’s a clean plug-and-play setup that’s ready to go once the connectors are in place.
This harness includes a converter that matches the vehicle’s separate signal and brake lights to the trailer’s combined system. The red wire handles the stop light circuit, green is right turn, and yellow is left turn. That built-in logic keeps your trailer lights flashing in sync with your vehicle every time you turn, brake, or drive at night.
At the back, the harness ends in a 4-pole flat connector that gives you running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. It’s the standard hookup for most small utility trailers, campers, and boat trailers. Just plug in and you’re connected.
If a trailer light stops working, testing this harness is simple. The color-coded wires and accessible 4-way plug make it easy to check each circuit with a standard tester. Whether you’re tracing a bad ground or verifying voltage at the pins, this harness helps you pinpoint issues fast so you can get back on the road safely.

Very good wiring. Fit exactly . Very reasonable cost.
Perfect fit & easy to install. I'll never use a splice kit again.
It fit on my Hyundai Tucson 2005, Very easy installation
Excellent product. It was easy to install and is still working splendidly
Works great. we had ordered the plug for our application and did not have enough time to return or reorder. but with snap splices made it work. Still ease to install. Works great. Great service.
Very easy connecting and installing. Hardest part was running wires from tail lights. Metal coat hanger helped
Simple install... follow the instructions, they are complete.
I watched an etrailer video on YouTube. Was able to complete the install in about half an hour with no problem.
great harness, definitely worth the money, simple plug and play design, very happy.
Quick and easy to install once I figured out how to remove the tail lights.
Great harness ,great price ,fast shipping ,super easy install........ what else could you ask for?
Quick easy install. Everything fit perfectly. Great price too! Thanks etrailer!
Worked great. Ashame I had to remove bumper to hide wires. Thank you for your quick shipping.
best wiring kit available! ive bought a few others that have bad quality wring and connections that wernt water tight. this is heavy duty and should last for many years. the shipping was very fast as well!
Well made. Very simple installation. Very fast shipping and excellent customer service. Got an e mail confirmation when it was delivered. Very happy with this purchase.
The kit was easy to install, but has been giving issues with turn signals blinking real fast or sometimes not at all. I swapped out the bulbs in the trailer for LEDs which pull less current and that has seemed to fix the issue.
Everything worked out great on my trailer hitch kit. The item and wiring harness were well priced ($50 less than next best competitor) and accurately described and fit/installed easily with all necessary parts. Definitely will keep them in mind for future orders!
I recently purchased this hitch and related wiring accessories from etrailer for my 05 Hyundai Tucson. Following the included installation instructions I found the hitch easy to install. Total install time including the wiring adapter was approximately 1.5 hours without rushing.
The wiring harness was very easy to install. I did however use 10 or 12 extra cable ties to make sure it was secured well especially up above the exhaust tips.
The directions were clear, and easy to understand when it came to outlining which holes under each tail light you were supposed to snake the wires through that was a big help.
The pricing was rock bottom, and the harness appear to very high quality..I will definitely purchase any other trailer or towing products I need from Etrailer.com
We bought a trailer hitch and wiring kit for our Haundi Tucsan and it is wonderful. built well, very sturdy. Easy install. We use it all of the time either with a little trailer or our bike racks. Good product and a fair price.
The harness itself is great. All the parts were there and everything works so far. The issue is the attention to detail with the directions. This is installed on a 2007 Tuscan. The directions are not bad, just not detailed enough for a good installation. First, there are three screws to remove for the lights, not two. Second, it is not easy at all to "feed the wire up through the bumper". You need a stick or string to slide down through, tie or tape the wires to it, then pull it through the bumper. Third, there is nothing showing you how to keep it safe from melting on the exhaust pipes for both sides. I am a professional handyman, so it was not difficult for me to take care of the issues. I just think it needs more details to help others. Again, everything works fine, the wires are solid, and I would buy again for other vehicles.
Lots of frustration involved in getting this to work properly. Trailer turn signals/brake lights/emergency flashers worked very intermittently. One side or the other would work or not at all, rarely did both sides work at the same time. Parking lights worked fine. All of the trailer lights worked fine when connected to another vehicle. Long story shortened - I ended up replacing trailer turn/brake/flasher bulbs (1157) with LED bulbs and the problem was resolved. Note that the vehicle lights worked properly during the trouble shooting.
Needed this for a 2005 Hynudai Tucson. Great discussion and fast order. The shipping was quick, and although the shipper manhandled the box, all the contents were well packed and no damage. The wiring harness was fairly straighforward. Just take a few minutes to think about not only the routing, but possible pinch points. There was a little excess length. Do not cut that in case repairs are needed later. Just loop and tie wrap out of the way. i pull my trailer often and i've never had and issue with the harness or trailer electricals thanks to etrailer.com!!
Perfect fit
