When you’re towing or hauling heavy, rear-end squat can throw off steering and braking. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your truck level front to back and maintain safe headlight aim. Each air bag helps distribute weight evenly across all four wheels, reducing strain on your factory suspension and keeping handling steady even under heavy cargo or trailer loads.
These air springs have built-in urethane jounce bumpers that engage progressively as weight increases. When air pressure is low, the jounce springs absorb bumps and minimize bottoming out for a smoother ride. If the air bags ever lose pressure, the internal jounces step in as a fail-safe to temporarily support your suspension. The urethane material engages more smoothly than rubber, giving a stable, comfortable ride through rough roads or sudden dips.
Every load is different, and this setup lets you dial in exactly what you need. With adjustable air pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi, you can fine-tune firmness for a loaded bed or trailer, or soften it back down for daily driving when empty. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included so you can easily add or release air as needed. For even more convenience, compressor systems with in-cab gauges (sold separately) can be added for real-time control.
Each spring assembly uses 2-ply fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and long life. Corrosion-proof Zytel nylon endcaps are lighter, stronger, and more resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive roll plates protect the bags from moving parts under the vehicle while extending spring life. With high-strength materials and protective hardware included, this system is made to handle demanding towing and hauling without leaks or corrosion getting in the way.
The kit comes with all necessary mounting brackets, hardware, manual inflation valves, and air lines. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and you’re ready to haul. The brackets bolt securely in place and are designed for easy access when routing airlines or adjusting pressure. I called customer support (Danielle H) and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Only leaks were from brass fitting on top of air bags called customer service and they said they got a bad batch from manufacture. So now I have to remove from truck and wait for new set and hope they don’t leak.
This product is outstanding! I took just a little over 2 hours to install in my driveway using 2 x jack stands and a floor jack. Parts fit perfect and the instructions are clear and very well informed. It took less time to install the bags than it did to find line routes to steer clear of the exhaust and moving parts. I routed the lines to the license plate for discretion, making it easy and clean to adjust the ride height. I recommend this to anyone that tows.
Just got the air bags installed on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, product was an excellent fit, and install was very easy, even at 1 a.m. installed this along with AL25490, that install was a little harder, instructions from Air Lift left me a little confused, (could have been lack of sleep) all in all, cannot wait to put a trailer on and see how it all works.
This product is awesome. It only took me about two hours to put it on my Ram 2500 using standard hand tools. I paired it with the WirelessOne compressor system and it’s perfect. It eliminated my trailer squat and actually makes my truck ride better even without the trailer. If you’ve got a Ram that needs a little bit more suspension, look no further!
The product is very good. Customer service is great. I had an issue with one of the pressure lines after warranty period. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement part at no charge. The bags work great on my ram 3500 dually. Very happy woth the product.
The air bags worked perfect, made the ride a lot smoother, even got better fuel mileage, drove eleven hundred miles on our first trip with the air bags and wireless controls, I wished I had done it sooner, it worked flawlessly, barely heard the air compressor run at all, very pleased with my air bags
After a year now still works perfectly. Only 2 down sides, First it has a slow leak (they were installed exactly as the instructions said). I put them on 90psi and about 6 months later they were between 20-40psi.
Second, the hardware is rusted. The nuts that hold the air lines where you fill them are pretty bad and the bolts that hold the airbag plates are all rusted.
I would definitely purchase them for my future vehicles, they hold the weight and easy to add/remover air. Still satisfied.
I am pleased with the product. I do believe I have a small air leak somewhere but I have not taken the time to find it. We just bought a 32 ft 5th wheel so I believe the air bags will come in handy while pulling it. Service from etrailer was excellent as always. They did a match on the price which was good also. If I need something for my trailers I always check with them first.
been towing for 15 years and owned a 41' 5'er for the past 2. All i can say is WOW!!!! such a difference in towing!!!!!! i also installed the in cab compressor controller as well so that i could monitor the air pressure in the bags(buy more air hose for compressor kit, what's included was not quite enough). Installation was a lil time consuming as i had broken a socket and rounded out one bolt(my fault). I personally found it easier to watch vids for the install vs using the manuals but that's jus me. Quick ship by etrailer and product has exceeded my expectations!!! highly recommend this product for anyone towing regardless of trailer type.

They're not properly designed for 4wd. The jounce stops engages too soon making for a harsh ride. If you're truck has overloads, they can't engage without the jounce stops being in contact. These work better on 2wd that attach to higher factory perches on frame.

I reached out to the manufacturer and for the 2004 Dodge Ram these are designed for the 4WD models.
Easy to install, easy to understand instructions. good fit and finish.
I pull a 12K 5th wheel toy hauler and like my rig to stay level even when loaded. I've used Air lift on two of my trucks and upgraded this time to the bags with internal jounce bumpers because it seemed like a good idea. I just got back from a 240 mile trip and they worked perfectly. Makes a big difference when the road drops out and the 5th wheel comes down hard. No bottoming out and no bounce back.

Very easy install. Read all instructions, lay out the nuts, bolts, etc. per the diagram(s) for proper application. The entire installation took me ~4 hours. I was completely alone doing this install and this time includes me getting off the creeper multiple times, going back and forth to the tool box. Impact driver makes it easier, torque wrench is a must. I used the "t" connector so that I would have a single inflation line. I took a little additional time to think about how I wanted to route the airlines to keep them away from heat sources and pinch points. Connections were all easy and no leaks. Very straight forward install. Note: I noticed in the instructions to always keep 5 psi in the bags but I am pretty sure I read in the product description that you could run 0 with the internal jounce. It does seem like a good idea to always run 5 psi to maintain a longer life of the air bags (but I am not an expert by any stretch).
Great setup. Everything fit well and was moderately easy to install. The airbags at only 5 psi tightened up the handling of my truck noticeably.
Installed as soon as I received it, very easy to install, works great but haven't load tested it yet, shipping was fast.
I put these Air Helper Springs on a 2013 Ram 2500. Installation of the air bags took a little over two hours and was easy following the instructions. No drilling was requited. Just make sure you do not forget to complete a leak check and make sure to cut the airlines with a very sharp cutter. I purchased the Helper Springs to assist the truck springs and reduce sag when pulling our 17,000 Lb fifth wheel toy hauler with a 3,700 Lb tongue weight. I chose this part number because of the jounce bumper since they would prevent the springs from totally collapsing should total air loss occur. They do the job reducing the sag and increasing vehicle stability. Shout out to etrailer.com for excellent products at reasonable prices.
