When you’re hauling heavy gear or towing a trailer, rear-end sag can make steering and braking feel sketchy. The Air Lift 1000 Heavy Duty Air Helper Springs provide up to 2,100 lbs of load-leveling support inside your rear coil springs. They keep your ride level so braking, handling, and headlight aim stay consistent even when the bed is loaded down. By taking strain off your stock suspension, you also cut down on tire wear and overall suspension fatigue.
Every load is different, and these springs let you fine-tune the support. Inflate both springs evenly to stay level front to back, or set them separately with dual air lines to balance off-center loads. With a pressure range from 5 psi up to 50 psi, you can run them soft for daily driving or add air when it’s time to tow. The kit includes Schrader valves and tubing so you can set your pressure with a standard air compressor or upgrade later with an onboard system if you want fingertip control.
Heavy loads can make your truck bounce or sway through turns and bumps. These molded polyurethane air springs fit inside your existing coil springs to absorb road shock and reduce body movement so the truck feels more planted on uneven surfaces. With the suspension leveled out, steering stays responsive and the ride feels stable whether you’re crossing mountain roads or cruising the highway with a trailer in tow.
The Air Lift 1000HD kit installs right into your rear coil spring suspension using basic hand tools. Everything is included—two air springs, heat shields, tubing, Schrader valves, and hardware—so there’s no need for special brackets or complicated fabrication. Once installed, the system blends right into your factory suspension but delivers adjustable load support anytime you need it.

still working! Ive towed my max payload tailertruck, Ill never say I went over the limit but for testing purposes I added some weight in the bed to test and the truck was level and handled fine. Made 4 trips to Texas fully loaded with no issues.

I now about 37k miles on the truck and need the bags about every two weeks. They are holding up well. Hard to imagine pulling without them. I will definitely have them on my next truck as well.

Great - would highly recommend this for anyone whose trailering something that weighs down your back end. 2nd purchase of this item for two different trucks and am extremely happy with it. 1st we had this professionally installed and 2nd we were able to install ourselves with YouTube help. No need to remove springs!

Within the first 2 weeks, one of the bags popped. etrailer.com gave us a replacement at no cost and we were able to get it installed right away. Since then, no issues at all after towing a motorcycle trailer and a camper. Havent needed to fill more than the initial and they are just a clean fit. Great product-highly recommend!

The installation may not be the easiest but I cannot see why the places are charging this much. I recommend taking a look at the video install that we have on a 2019 Ram 1500.
