Today on our 2009 Ford Flex, we'll be installing the WeatherTech side window air deflectors with dark tinting for the front, part number WT80484. The WeatherTech air deflectors let fresh air in while keeping bad weather out and also help keep the interior temperatures of your vehicle low by promoting better air circulation in your vehicle. These leather tech air deflectors install quickly and easily inside the window channel and require no exterior tape. Let's begin here on the driver's side. We'll need to lower the window down as show and then we'll need to clean the top edge of the window with some soap and water, and then dry it with a paper towel. Now let's go ahead and begin by putting in our air deflector. We'll start up here on the front, making sure that we sit on top of the windowsill. We'll then push in the front edge. Now we'll go ahead and bend the air deflector outward so that we can get the rear edge in its window channel as well.
Once that's in we'll begin by going back up towards the front of the air deflector and gently pulling down and working it underneath the weather shipping edge, into the window channel. Now that we have the whole air deflector into the window channel, we'll make sure that it is pushed all the way up. To seat the air deflector, we'll go ahead and gently pull outward and up, seating it in the window channel as well as the weather stripping. Once we have the air deflector completely seated, now we'll have to raise and lower the window 5 times. You want to make sure that when raised and lowering your window, that'll help to make sure that the air deflector is properly seated in the window channel. Now that we've completed the installation here on the driver's side, we'll repeat the same process over on the passenger side. Again, making sure once we have the air deflector in the window channel and fully seated, that we raise and lower the window 5 times slowly and carefully. Now that we've completed our installation over here on the passenger side, that'll conclude the installation of the WeatherTech side window air deflectors with dark tinting for the front, part number WT80484 on our 2009 Ford Flex. .
