When crosswinds or passing semis try to push you around, this bar keeps the front end planted. It ties the frame to the front axle to balance weight transfer and cut out that side-to-side sway you feel through the steering wheel. The result is a level, predictable ride that makes it easier to hold your line on long stretches of open road and through uneven terrain.

This bar isn’t mild steel. It’s built from thick 4140 chromoly for a stronger, more rigid connection between the chassis and the axle. That added stiffness translates into better resistance against body roll and a firmer, more confident feel through corners. You’ll notice the difference the first time you take a turn or correct for a gust of wind—everything just stays flatter and more controlled.
Instead of standard rubber, the system uses polyurethane bushings that hold up against oil, gasoline, and ozone. They don’t squish out or crack, so there’s less flex in the setup and more consistent control over time. Less wear means the bar keeps doing its job season after season without the sloppy feel that creeps in with softer materials.

The kit comes ready to bolt up with the included mounting hardware, instructions, and bushing lubricant—no drilling required. It’s designed to fit around most aftermarket components while still giving you solid bracing between the axle and chassis. Once installed, you’ve got a front sway system that works in sync with other suspension upgrades for a stable, confident drive.
At 1-3/4" in diameter, this bar delivers serious torsional stiffness and solid performance under load. The durable construction, quality bushings, and included hardware make it a one-time upgrade that keeps paying off mile after mile, all backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Great buying experience with ETrailer. Fast shipping and quality constructed part. Noticeable difference in controlling body sway. Very pleased with the bar and highly recommend Etrailer.
After about a year with both the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar and the TorkLift StableLoad Upper Overload Spring Upgrade on our truck camper setup, my experience has been mixed.
With the StableLoads, some of the mounting screws eventually fell out. I contacted etrailer expecting the issue to be handled under warranty, but instead of taking care of the replacement directly, I was referred to the manufacturer. Considering the age of the product and that it was purchased through etrailer, I was disappointed with how the warranty issue was handled.
As for the Roadmaster 1-1/2" rear anti-sway bar, it is a very solid and well-built product, but in our particular application I honestly haven't noticed a major difference in body roll while taking turns with the camper loaded. I have driven the truck both with and without it, and the improvement was much less noticeable than I expected.
Neither product is necessarily bad, but based on our experience, the improvement in handling hasn't been significant enough for me to strongly recommend them given the cost.
2025 Sprinter 2500 low roof WITH factory sway bar. Added this bar to control the terrible handling at the rear of these vans and it absolutely takes care of that. Be aware that you 100% need the retro-fit kit for this bar to be installed as the factory sway bar end links will NOT work. The retrofit kit that you need is the RM-590064-00.
RM-1109-121 Rear Sway bar for 85 Chevyvan G30 RV. Install was pretty straightforward. I would mount the brackets to the frame first and then the sway bar to the axle. It’s easier to drill the holes without the sway bar getting in the way.
Before I replaced the shocks and upgraded the from sway bar and added the rear sway bar my G30 Chevyvan Winnebago was a wallow wagon. It took 110% focus to drive. Now it drives like a regular vehicle. Smooth. No leaning over when cornering. It’s night and day.
Excellent high quality product made a big difference in handling with heavy Artic Fox camper
Give poor rating regarding installation instructions
worth every penny, i no longer cringe when semis are approaching.
Definitely keeps things more stable compared to the smaller factory one
Haven't got a chance to install this part yet but the customer service on etrailer is exceptional. Thanks for a great experience
Works very well..helps stability while towing my car hauler.
Received the roadmaster swaybar for my Motorhome on time and in excellent condition..
etrailer had the best price available!!
can’t wait to get it installed…
The 1 3/4" bar is much stronger and heavier than the stock sway bar. Took longer to get the old bar off than it did to install the new one. The quality of the new bar is far better than the stock one and the mounting hardware and bushings are excellent . Had to reuse the old bolts for the bushing clamps but everything fit fine. Very pleased with the kit and the price was about $100 cheaper through E=trailer. Quick shipping and great customer service. Thanks !!! G
I purchased both front and rear anti sway bar kits for my 2001 Freightliner Chassis, the front installed and fit as advertised, the rear did not.
This heavier duty sway bar for the Freightliner XC XCS chassis when combined with the REAR stabilizer was just the thing my Fleetwood needed.
Prior to this replacement bar (and the rear added bar), the back end of the RV would sway in the most unpleasant way. It was like driving on ICE. You had to watch INTENTLY!
After these bars were installed, body lean was dramatically reduced and the driving on ice feeling was GONE. This much reduced my stress level when driving!
Took 6 weeks for Roadmaster to get my anti sway bar order made and sent to me. It fit up okay on our 2003 Fleetwood Discovery MH on a 2002 Freightliner XC chassis, and was easy to install. The combination of this larger sway bar with a blue Saf-T-Plus steering stabilizer made the 38' MH pulling a Tandem Tow HDXL dolly trailer with a Teryx4 SXS and a Buick LeSabre on the dolly, total length 68' so much easier to steer and handle on windy days and with passing semi truck trailer buffeting. Also helped with handling on uneven roadways with ruts and dips. I'm pleased sfter 7,800 miles and 1 year of use with this larger 1 3/4" diameter sway bar compared to the stock bar.
Great stabilizer and urethane bushings. Shipping was better than advertised! I was quite annoyed that the kit does not replace ALL the hardware. I would have paid $3 more for the 4 nuts, bolts and washers for the main bushings. Could have used more lube as well.
Everything fit like a glove! Assembly was easy-peasy.

No regrets on this decision! I noticed a lot less swaying while driving so I’m still very happy with this purchase!
Somewhat thicker and heavier duty than the stock anti-sway bar. Note: the threaded ends of the of the end link rods are longer than stock so after installing, make sure that they do not contact hoses, wires, etc., attached to the frame.
Fast shipping very nice and informative customer service.
Fairly heavy duty compared to stock on my 2014 Palazzo 33.2 Freightliner chassis; appears to be about 5/16” thicker. Install fairly straightforward; I loose fit the U-brackets first (contrary to the directions) then swung it up to the endlinks- this is easier for a one-man operation.
Holding off on 5th star until after test drive with forthcoming steering stabilizer.
So far etrailer has been top notch; very informative relative to order status.

Sway bar and steering stabilizer make significant difference- drastically reduced does not completely eliminate cross wind drift and rut corrections.
Made out older 38’ coach much more stable in wind, turning and better overall drive ability
