This replacement vent connects to your 1-3/4" battery box hose to route fumes and odors outside instead of letting them build up in enclosed spaces. It’s designed to keep the battery area well-ventilated and safer over time by moving gases where they belong — out of the vehicle.
The vent’s 4" long by 4" tall housing fits neatly into place using 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" center-to-center mounting holes. The 1-3/4" diameter x 2" deep opening mates directly to standard battery box vent hoses, so replacing an old or broken vent is straightforward and doesn’t require modification.
With its smooth white finish, the plastic vent blends in on the exterior surface instead of standing out. The compact 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" overall shape keeps it looking tidy once installed.
If you want extra protection for the vent opening, you can pair it with the louvered vent cover (A10-3300, sold separately). The cover helps shield the vent while still allowing gases to escape freely.

Today, we're going to take a look at the Valterra white battery box cone vent. Now this battery box cone vent, this will attach to your battery box vent hose. It will attach to this end, and this will direct your battery box fumes outside your RV for safety.Overall diameter on this is going to be four inches by four inches. Total depth, from the front to the very end of the connection, is going to be right at two inches. Now this is designed to accommodate a one and three quarter inch diameter hose. The mounting hole dimensions, center to center, is going to be three and a quarter inches by three and a quarter inches.It is made of a white plastic construction.
Now they do recommend to put a vent cover over this. That we do sell separately on our website, and it is listed on this product page as a related product, and it's part number A10-3300.But that should do it for the review on the Valterra white battery box cone vent.

Recently purchased a used 2002 Carri-Go by Dynamax, although in really great shape with few miles(33,000), as is common with used RVs, there were a few items that needed replacing....this cover for the battery exhaust was one of them...well being Newbies at the game of RVing....I had no idea of what I was even looking for, but when I hit upon etrailer.com and put in "outside vents" up pops exactly what I needed, after exhausting all other avenues at other sites. I bought these to vent a front compartment on our Jayco 5th wheel where we store a generator and fuel. The compartment is completely sealed so some ventilation was needed. The factory already had installed these vents at the battery compartments so these looked to be the same and were a perfect match. Everything looks "factory" and not aftermarket which is always my goal. Drilled a 3" diameter hole which allows 3/8" play for installation. Spray painted the heads of some sheet metal screws to match and couldn't have wished for a better install. I always check etrailer when I need something for the RV or truck. Their tutorials are so helpful and shipping is instant.
The old vent covers were broken and deteriorated. The new one are an exact replacement. They were easy to install and look as good or better than the original ones did when they were new.
Low cost vent is good for interior applications in locations where impact is unlikely. I used one to ventilate ceiling space between panels in an RV. I installed one in a small sailboat locker and broke it a few days later. Not very durable and I suspect that sunlight would quickly degrade the plastic. For RV exterior I have found the stainless steel round vents to be much better.

Great product, exactly what I was looking for. My roof tox box for windsurfing equipment was getting far too hot inside living on Maui. I placed 10 of the vents around the box by drilling a 2 1/2 inch hole and glewing the vents from the inside. This way I only have a clean hole showing from the outside and installation is very easy. Box is around 30 degreees F cooler now and air circultaion also takes care of the moisture.
