These lights were easy to replace. Used old flush mount with spring flip latch holder to pop rivet them to it and it looks great. Now I can turn it off when not needed!

Good replacement for the OEM light in my Lance trailer. The mounting holes don’t line up perfectly with my OEM, but works great. Easy swap, and looks great.

  • What Are Some Replacement Options for a 4 1/2-inch Interior RV Puck Light?
Hi Thomas,  I've put together a few different 12V LED 4 1/2" diameter puck light options for you so you can find the best replacement for your light! Since lights can mount in different ways, I've included puck lights that are surface mount, recessed mount, have a push button, and options that are warm white and bright white. If you have a recessed 4 1/2" puck light, the Diamond 12V RV LED Recessed Puck Light in Cool White part # DG52525VP would be a good replacement. We also have the...

  • Replacing Round Puck Ceiling Lights With Button On Them In Jayco Travel Trailer
Good morning Brian! The RV Designer 12V RV LED Puck Light # RD94SR is a good option to look at if your current light is a surface-mount 4-1/2" puck light with a built-in push button. This one runs on 12V, has a white housing, a frosted lens, and the center push button lets you turn that individual light on and off without relying only on a wall switch. The big thing I’d have you check is whether your current light is actually surface mounted, not recessed or spring-clipped into a ceiling...

  • Can RV Designer 12V LED Puck Light Be Used In Bathroom Shower Area Of Camper?
Good question, Rachel. The RV Designer # RD94SR can be used in a camper bathroom where there’s extra humidity from the shower, but I would not put it anywhere it can be directly sprayed with water. So for a main bathroom ceiling or vanity area, this would be a reasonable option. If you’re thinking about putting it above the shower, I’d make sure it’s positioned where water won’t hit it directly, since this is an interior RV puck light and not a waterproof shower light. It has a frosted...

  • Will RV Designer 12v LED Puck Light Fit Over Dinette In 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite?
Hi Carol! We don’t have a database that tells us the exact puck light Forest River used in each spot on a Rockwood Mini Lite, so I can’t confirm it by model alone. The best way to check is to remove your current light and measure it. If your existing light is a surface-mount 12V puck light and the outside diameter is right at 4-1/2", the RV Designer # RD94SR is definitely going to work. It has the built-in push button like you described, plus a frosted lens and warm white 3,200K light...

  • Can I Buy Just The Replacement Lens For RV Designer 4-1/2" Round LED Puck Light In RV ?
Hey Terry, on the RV Designer LED 4-1/2" puck light # RD94SR, you'd buy the complete puck light assembly, not just a separate replacement lens. That’s pretty common with RV puck lights - many of them are serviced by replacing the whole fixture rather than the lens or LED board separately. The good news is that this light is a simple 12V, 2-wire style fixture, so replacement is usually straightforward once you remove the old light. You’ll wire black to 12V power and white to ground, then...

  • Can I Replace Older Halogen Puck Lights 12V In Old Motorhome With LED Puck Lights To Reduce Power?
Yes Stan, if the size and mounting style work for your motorhome, the RV Designer # RD94SR would be a nice upgrade from an older 12V halogen-style puck light. This is an LED light, so it is more efficient and uses 4.5 watts while still putting out 396 lumens. This would likely pull less than half the power compared to halogen bulbs. The part I’d double-check is the mounting. This is a surface-mount puck light, so it is best for replacing lights that mount to the surface of the ceiling...

  • Replacement for Falcon Puck Light 4-1/2" in Diameter
Hey Pete, sounds like you are looking for new puck lights. Based on the Falcon part number you provided, you currently have the Falcon Ultra Slim 4.5 inch 12V RV Puck Light with a warm white LED and built in switch. We don’t carry the Falcon version, but the RV Designer 12V LED Puck Light, part # RD94SR, is the replacement I’d use. It has the same 4-1/2" diameter and the same low profile design, so you’re not having to completely change the look of your lighting. It also has a push button...

  • Can I Replace Puck Light Over Bed In Camper With Its Own Switch Instead Of Wall Switch?
Yes Melissa, that’s one of the main reasons I like this style of puck light. The RV Designer # RD94SR has its own built-in push button on/off switch, so as long as the wall switch is feeding 12v dc power to that lighting circuit, you can shut this individual puck light off right at the fixture. That’s handy over a bed, dinette, bunk area, or anywhere you don’t always want every light in the circuit on at once. Just keep in mind that if the wall switch is off, the light won’t have power...

  • Can I Add A LED Puck Lights In Enclosed Trailer Where They Have Their Own On/Off Switch Built In?
Yes Mike, these can work well in an enclosed trailer as long as you’re powering them from a 12V DC source. The RV Designer # RD94SR is a surface-mount interior light, so it isn’t limited to motorhomes or campers only. The built-in push button is the main benefit here. You can feed multiple lights from the same 12V circuit, but each light can still be turned on or off at the fixture instead of having every light come on together from one switch. Just make sure you have a flat mounting...

  • Can I Replace RV Ceiling Recessed Puck Light With Surface Mount Puck Light 4-1/2" ?
Good question, Dale. The RV Designer # RD94SR is a surface-mount light, so it does not install the same way as a recessed puck light that sits down inside a ceiling cutout. The 4-1/2" measurement is the outside diameter of the light, not the hole size it fits into. You may be able to use it if the old opening is small enough for the # RD94SR to cover and there’s still enough ceiling material around the opening to run the mounting screws into. If the recessed hole is too large, you would...

  • Options For Adding LED Interior Light With ON/OFF Switch Inside Cabinet In Camper Kitchen
Hi Amanda! For an under-cabinet or galley-area light, the RV Designer # RD94SR should work well if you have room for the 4-1/2" diameter housing. It has a frosted lens to help diffuse the light, and the 180-degree beam angle gives you wide light coverage instead of a narrow spotlight effect. The color is listed at 3,200K, which is warm white. That means it should feel softer than a harsh cool-white LED, but at 396 lumens, it is still fairly bright for everyday tasks like making coffee,...

  • How Does LED Puck Light Get Wired In Camper? Does It Need Separate Wall Switch?
Great question, Karen. The push button on the RV Designer # RD94SR controls the light at the fixture, so it does not require a separate wall switch just to turn the light on and off. You still need to wire it into a 12V power source, of course, but the built-in switch gives you local control right at the puck light. A lot of RVs already have ceiling lights wired through a wall switch, and this can still work in that setup. In that case, the wall switch supplies power to the circuit, and...
