How Does LED Puck Light Get Wired In Camper? Does It Need Separate Wall Switch?

Question:
Does this puck light need to be wired to a separate wall switch, or does the button on the light control it by itself?

Great question, Karen. The push button on the RV Designer # RD94SR controls the light at the fixture, so it does not require a separate wall switch just to turn the light on and off. You still need to wire it into a 12V power source, of course, but the built-in switch gives you local control right at the puck light.
A lot of RVs already have ceiling lights wired through a wall switch, and this can still work in that setup. In that case, the wall switch supplies power to the circuit, and the push button lets you choose whether this individual puck light is on or off.
Karen, are you adding a new light where there isn’t one now, or replacing an existing puck light that already has wiring in place?
