Replacing Round Puck Ceiling Lights With Button On Them In Jayco Travel Trailer
Published 05/19/2026 >
Question:
I have a Jayco travel trailer with the round ceiling lights that have the little button in the middle. One of them started flickering then went out and I want something close to the same size. they're 4-1/2" diameter .. Would this RV Designer light work as a replacement?

Good morning Brian! The RV Designer 12V RV LED Puck Light # RD94SR is a good option to look at if your current light is a surface-mount 4-1/2" puck light with a built-in push button. This one runs on 12V, has a white housing, a frosted lens, and the center push button lets you turn that individual light on and off without relying only on a wall switch.
The big thing I’d have you check is whether your current light is actually surface mounted, not recessed or spring-clipped into a ceiling cutout. This # RD94SR sits on the surface and wires in with the two leads on the back. You’ll connect the black wire to 12V power and the white wire to ground.
Brian, if you can measure the outside diameter of your current light and confirm it’s right around 4-1/2", this should be in the right neighborhood so you hopefully don't have to do any trimming etc. What brand or model number is printed on the back of your old light?
