Hello, I would like to replace the cooktop/oven on our travel trailer. We currently have a Dometic R2131-BSPFMO. Just wondering if you are able to advise on a replacement that would fit without much modifications?

Hey Sean, thanks for the information! To replace your Dometic R2131-BBPFBO, I recommend the Furrion 21" Built-In Gas Range Oven item # FR97KR. It measures 21-1/2" wide x 20" tall x 21-1/2" deep and fits cutouts 20-1/8" wide x 20-1/16" tall x 17-3/4" deep so it's got nearly identical dimensions.

The Furrion item # FR97KR works with natural gas or propane systems and is RV certified. The glass top covers three burners with the center one being a 8,000 BTU. The oven includes a removable shelf and has internal measurements of 17" wide x 9" tall x 13" deep.

Did your Dometic oven go out or are you just looking to upgrade to something newer?

Thanks for the quick response. I was checking out that model as well as a GE. How do the GE and the Furrion compare? Would the GE model fit? Several reviews on the Furrion indicated breakage on shipping as well as some other issues . Are these still issues ? Still have these in stock? Thanks

@SeanF You're welcome. The GE Profile Propane RV Range item # GE57VR is going to be almost 4" shorter at 17-3/4" deep over the Furrion item # FR97KR, which is 21-1/2" deep. The stove not sticking out that much will definitely be a nice perk. The GE item # GE57VR does not include a glass top. You can purchase one separately with the item # GE74VR. The Furrion item # FR97KR is in stock. The GE item # GE57VR is a couple of days to a week out as of 11/24/2025. I don't know if anything's been improved on the Furrion packaging but features, pricing, and size wise, I recommend the GE Profile Propane RV Range item # GE57VR over the Furrion item # FR97KR.

Hi Jerred, Thanks again for getting back to me. So you recommend the GE over the Furrion. Thanks for that recommendation. A major issue I am looking at is that the Dometic oven we have has a larger glass top/trip piece that needed a countertop cut out of 23 1/8" wide and 20 1/2" depth. This is going to leave a substantial gap around the replacement over either the Furrion or GE. I've read some forums of people reusing the Dometic glass top with the Furrion. Have you ran across this situation before? Are there any trip kits for the Furrion or GE ovens. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have photo of the oven opening if that would help.

@SeanF You're welcome! I do not have any information on whether or not the Dometic glass top is going to work with the Furrion item # FR97KR. I am not aware of any trim kits for either the Furrion item # FR97KR or the GE item # GE57VR.
