Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Furrion 50 Amp Power Inlet. This square power inlet installs on your RV and provides an easily accessible, 50 amp power inlet for easily connecting the RV's power cord.It features a power smart LED power indicator located right here. So this visually lets you know that there is power running to the inlet. We're looking at a nice, heavy duty, marine-grade construction. It features fiber-filled casing for complete reliability in harsh marine environments. It's white in color.
Amperage is 50 amps. It does come with detailed installation instructions so I'll walk you through the whole process step-by-step. It does require a 2 and 3/4 inch diameter hole for installation. Mounting hardware not included, but it does install using the four mount holes so you will need four screws to get it installed.The overall measurements of the unit, edge to edge going this direction measures about 3.5 inches. Edge to edge this direction is about 4 and 1/4 inches, and then the mount holes are all separated on center apart from one another by 2.5 inches.Now you'll notice that it has the strain release bracket here on the backside.
This is designed to reduce the amount of strain placed on the cabling or cords that run in here, your wiring. To remove this unit from the body, you'll need to remove the two screws right here inside the housing. So you take out those screws. That allows this back piece to come off and that's gonna allow you to feed your wires through, run your wiring to the connection points and then it uses just some screws so you're actually wiring around the connection points or around the screws, tighten those down and that's going to create nice solid contact and then you reinstall everything right here, tighten up those two screws in the front and really, that's all there is to it. It's an easy installation, easy to do, easy to install, easy to make your connections and again, it comes with detailed installation instructions to walk you through that whole process.
It also comes with a mounting gasket right here to create a nice, tight seal against the face of the unit and the installation surface.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Furrion 50 Amp Power Inlet.

This was a great replacement for our Mo ntana.
It was just as described and arrived qu ickly.
etrailer comes through again. They have products in stock that other e-commerce sites don’t taking longer to get others. This time lower cost than [online store] and faster delivery than prime. Phone support is is incredible and no long waits.
The tiny LED indicator is worthless- worked for about a week.
The information should include: use lock tight on the electrical connections as they can work lose. I know as my trailer was almost lost due to improper install at factory. The wires either worked out during travel ( my dealer favorite excuse) or improper install. Tighten those lugs or be ready for problems.
The product is now a year old and no problems.
Was easy swap from the old broken inlet and the LEDE light is handy to make sure power is on.
Broke the original on the trailer while we were winterizing. Bought this as a replacement. Fit properly, worked just fine. Just what the doctor ordered.
