Adco Polypropylene Cover Installed

Summer is over, and you're worried about your travel trailer getting dirty and damaged in storage during light rainstorms, mild sun, and other moderate weather conditions. When you're storing your trailer in the south or another sunny spot, this durable cover will protect it. When you keep your trailer covered, you are less likely to need to wash and wax it at the start of the camping season. And if you want to trade your trailer in for a newer model later down the road, this cover will help maintain that resale value.

Adco Polypropylene Material

The non-abrasive, 4-ply polypropylene construction is UV-treated so it won't crack or fade when exposed to harmful UV rays. It also protects your trailer against mild rain, dirt, and wind so that it doesn't develop black streaks and corrosion on the sides and roof over time.

How to Measure Your Travel Trailer

Measuring Your Travel Trailer

To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your trailer from the very front to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back. The cover isn't meant to fit over the tongue of your trailer, so don't include it in your measurements. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of your trailer to the top. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

How to Measure Your Travel Trailer

Adco Corner and Cinching System

The included rain gutter covers help prevent the cover from splitting on those areas of the trailer, so install those first. Then unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your trailer, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. The cover is labeled with "front" and "rear" to help you position the cover correctly on your RV.

Once the cover is in place, wrap the elasticized hem on the cover around the bottom corners of your trailer and pull on the cinch ropes on the front and rear until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your trailer. These remove any excess slack in the material, especially if your trailer is slightly shorter in length. Then toss the weighted straps underneath your trailer to the other side and buckle them together, which keep the cover secure on your trailer and prevents it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

After approximately six months of use, the RV cover split in half during a storm in southern Arizona last fall. The understrap had kept the cover in place, but the tear occurred along the length of the trailer on the top. I came home from work and the cover was on the ground all the way around the RV.

That is the thing with these covers. They are on thinner side to be breathable so mildew doesnt build up, and so that they dont weigh a thousand pounds which makes them manageable to put on. But, that also doesnt make them very sturdy against stormy winds. They do, however, come with a two year warranty and I have sent that information over to you.

by:

Terrible! Cover didn’t even last a year. Huge holes from sun rot and wind. Did not hold up in AZ. Now trying to get them to a hold up to there 2 year warranty.

@ChuckS Awesome, glad to hear that!

by:

It fit great. The straps were in all the right places allowing a snug fit. I taped padding on every sharp edge on the camper but the cover still only lasted 6 months. It ripped apart at on the top of the camper where there were no edges or any reason for it to rip. It might back a good dust cover if your camper is parked inside a garage but is no way near good enough if you park your camper outdoors. This cover is the only item I have ever bought from etrailer that was substandard.

The cover is ok, we live in NY, so the weather can be on the harsh side. We put the cover on in late October making sure we placed caps on all the edges of the trailer to protect the cover from tearing but unfortunately, there were spots on the corners of the cover that still had tears in it when we removed it in the spring. It did still protect the the trailer from the elements well enough, but we were hoping the cover would last a little longer without tearing.

by:

I had just purchased this trailer and wanted to take care of it for winter storage. After shopping for covers decided on the ADCO. I had never covered a trailer before and was a little puzzled by what kind of help I might need to get the job done. Of course, I waited till the last minute and I ended up doing it myself, all my help vanished! Turns out it took me about an hour after prepping rain gutter spouts and making sure ther were no sharp items that could pierc the cover. It went on very easy and stayed secure all winter with no problems. In the spring my grandson gave me a hand and we removed it and packed it up back into its carry bag, its like packing a parachute. All in all very pleased!

by:

Good cover. Camper is parked on a dirt patch so had to unrollon the camper. The only issue wa I couldn't tell front from back until it was unrolled and mostly unfolded. Of course the back was facing front. Just bad JUJU. Other than than that, nice cover.

by:

Well .. so far I am not impressed with the way it was prepared to ship. Only one layer of tape was placed on all the flaps .. and of course they broke. One corner of the box was broken open. I manage a large Parts Warehouse and we certainly wouldn't send out a box so poorly prepared for the rough handling that the current shippers extend.

This was shipped to work so I haven't had the change to look inside the open tear on the corner of the box.

I would recommend that this be reviewed with the shipping department as I would want to know how my shipping procedures are working.

by:

The excellent rating is for the service provided by etrailer. Easy ordering and received the cover in two days. Have not installed it yet.

by:

haven't put it on yet because we are on our way to Arizona for the winter months. will install it when we return for sure. but have never been disappointed with anything that we have received from etrailer.com. always quality products.

by:

One year of use and it handled a Wisconsin Winter no worse for the wear. Looked almost brand new when I took it off and rolled it up this Spring.

by:

So far so good, easy to install and fits like a glove. The rain gutter covers are worthless. I used cut tennis balls..

by:

Easto install, looks great on trailer. I watched the video and it made it easier to intall. Great quality

by:

  • Best Cover for a 28 Foot Enclosed Trailer
The cover I recommend for your 28 foot enclosed cargo trailer is the Adco Polypropylene Storage Lot RV Cover # 290-74845. This cover is made of a heavy-duty, 4-layer fabric that protects against UV rays, dirt, wind, and snow and is a breathable material to avoid moisture build up. The slip-seam strap system ensures a snug fit and prevents damage from high winds. There are cinch ropes at the front and the rear of the cover that removes slack and reduces billowing, the weighted straps with...

Yes the Adco Polypropylene Storage Lot RV Cover for Travel Trailer # 290-74845 will fit your toy hauler that has a height of 110 inches when the measurement includes the AC unit. The recommended place to measure height is the box height without including the height of the AC unit.

  • Travel Trailer Cover Recommendation for Dutchman 2015 26L DSL
We can help with the cover but we do not have any micro boards. Since your Dutchman 2015 26L DSL is 30 feet 8 inches long the Adco Storage Lot Cover part # 290-74845 would be what you'd want as it fits trailers like your 28 to 31 feet in length. This travel trailer cover is designed for long-term usage. It is weather resistant to protect the trailer from the elements.

I spoke with my contact at Adco who said that the Tan Adco Storage Lot Cover # 290-74845 is actually a great product for the winter and they have sold quite a few to Canadian residents who were very happy with the results. Please note that this is a fit for travel trailers that measure 28'7" - 31'6". I have attached a picture showing how you would want to measure your trailer to ensure a fit.

  • Weight of Adco Travel Trailer Storage Cover 290-74845
Large RV covers can weigh a good bit, but the Adco Travel Trailer Storage Lot Cover # 290-74845 weighs right around 36-lbs. The 39-lb shipping weight shown on this item's page includes the carton's weight. Certainly it will be easier to install any cover on a travel trailer with some extra hands to help but its weight is not so much that you could not do so on your own. The hardest part will be getting the cover up on the roof of the trailer but once you get that done it is really a matter...

Like you said though with the design of it versus the design of your camper there may likely be a little loose material on the front. There is however a cinch strap to help minimize this.
