Question:
Do all Velit models run ductless, or do any tie into my RV’s ducts?
asked by: Monica
Expert Reply:
Monica, they’re all ductless. That’s part of Velit’s design: rooftop unit plus ceiling box, pushing air straight into the cabin. It simplifies install and works great for vans and smaller rigs. If you’ve got a big fifth wheel with ductwork, you might still want a traditional 115V RV AC for the main system, then add a Velit for off-grid camping or supplemental cooling system to help.
What type of RV do you have?
If small, you can check out the Mini RV AC # VE69QV (6,500 BTU), but if larger, I'd go with the # VE87QV (8,000 BTU). There's also a flagship model rated for 12,000 BTU with # VE29QV, but this one requires a 48v battery bank, not 12v like the others.
