You're backed into a canyon, the sun's dropping fast, but the air's still clinging to the heat. This AC hums low, sips 24V DC power, and keeps your van cool so you can kick back and relax while the world sweats just outside your doors.
You've had summer trips where you soaked up every last drop of daylight. Maybe there were sweaty ridge hikes, sunbaked desert climbs, dirt on your arms, and salt drying on your neck. By the time you crawled into your rig, it was roasting inside, and the built-in fan wasn't cutting it. You probably lay there with the fan on full blast, still feeling like your skin couldn't breathe.
The Velit 2000R cools your space to a temperature your body can recover comfortably in. It runs directly off your battery bank without needing an inverter and pairs with the power system you already rely on. You don't have to trade peace and stillness for campground hookups. Breathe easier, sleep deeper, and wake up surrounded by the wild, not someone else's RV slide-out.
For longer trips, it's best paired with a healthy battery bank and a way to recharge it, like solar panels or a generator, especially if you're camping off-grid for days at a time.
If you're relaxing under the stars and not ready for bed yet, you can still prep your rig without leaving the hammock. This AC gives you three ways to dial in the temp. Go old school with the onboard panel, use the included remote from your sleeping bag, or embrace technology and adjust it from your phone using the Velit app.
Non-ducted air conditioners, like this one, move air straight into your rig without needing built-in ceiling ducts, making them ideal for vans, retrofits, or any setup where simplicity matters. With a non-ducted system, what you see is what you get: a rooftop unit connected directly to a ceiling assembly that pushes steady airflow into your living space. They're also perfect for adding a second AC to areas that never cool down properly, like an upper bunk or a rear bedroom.
Once it kicks on, it stays quiet. Eco Mode runs at 45 decibels, softer than a quiet conversation. Boost Mode tops out at 58 dB, more like steady white noise. It's quiet enough to hear the breeze, the rain, or whatever weird noises the woods are making, including sasquatch.
Most travel trailers and vans already have a 14 inch by 14 inch roof fan. That's exactly what this AC is built to fit. You're not gonna have to make sketchy measurements and cut into your roof. Just pull the fan out, drop the Velit unit in, wire it up, and you're on to cooler nights. With the gasket, mounting hardware, trim panel, and wiring harness all in the box, you're nearly set from the start.
The compact, low-profile shape keeps things tight up top too. Its square footprint leaves room for solar panels, storage, or anything else you've got planned for your roof.
While the unit itself doesn't require additional components to operate, it's recommended to have a system in place to recharge your battery bank, such as solar panels or a generator, especially for extended off-grid use.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this VELIT Black 9,000 BTU 2000R air conditioner system with remote. Now, this 9,000 BTU-per-hour air conditioner is going to chill the inside of your Class B vans and trailers without draining your battery bank. This efficient 24-volt twin rotor compressor air conditioner, air conditioner system runs directly off of your battery bank without needing an inverter. And it's going to pair with the power system that you already rely on, and you're not gonna have to trade the piece and stillness for tamp ground hookups.
Now, this does use the more eco-friendly refrigerant, the R32 refrigerant to give you sustainable cooling performance. And let's talk dimensions. Looking at the overall length from front to back, we're sitting right at 31.5 inches long. The width is going to be the same at 31.5 inches wide. So this is a square unit.
And then the overall height is about 7 and 1/8 inches tall. So this is indeed a low profile. It's not gonna be taking up a whole lot of space on your rooftop. And so this compact low profile design is going to allow you to possibly put other things on your roof like solar panels, or have an area for storage or whatever else that you might have mapped out on your roof. Now, this air conditioner does give you three ways to dial in the temperature.
The first one I want to mention is, it's underneath. So the way, because of the way that I have it mounted, I can't show you that control panel. So I've got a photo there on your screen showing you the underside. So obviously this is going to come in through your roof opening, and then up on your ceiling there you'll have access to those vents and control panels. So that's gonna be one way that you're gonna be able to control the temperature.
And then taking a closeup view here of this side of my table, you're also gonna have this remote that's going to allow you to adjust that temperature wherever you're at inside of your camper. And then the third way is going to be through a free smartphone app that you can download on your smartphone's app store. And you're gonna be able to control this via Bluetooth. So it's pretty cool that you're gonna have those three convenient ways to control the settings on your air conditioner system. And once this kicks in, it's going to stay quiet. On the eco mode, this runs at about 45 decibels, so that's softer than a quiet conversation. And then when you have this already all the way up on boost mode, it's gonna top out at about 58 decibels. So that's more like a steady white noise. Now, most vans do have a 14-inch by 14-inch roof fan up top, and that's exactly what this air conditioner is designed to build, is designed to fit, rather. So you're not gonna have to make like sketchy measurements or cut into your roof. You're just gonna pull that old fan out, drop this unit in, wire it up, and you're gonna be good to go. So this includes everything that you see here on my table. Obviously, you're going to get the air conditioner unit, but taking again, another closeup view of this side of the table, you're gonna get the mounting brackets that you see right here, the ceiling gasket, and then the mounting hardware in this bag. And then you're also going to get this interior trim panel that I have propped up. So this is what you're gonna see on your ceiling there, and it's gonna give the control panel, the bottom side of that air conditioner, a really nice finished look on the inside. Then, the remote that we mentioned, the 15-foot wiring harness with thin line fuse. You can get user manual as well to guide you through the installation and the operation. So again, a complete system to get this installed and up and running. Now, while this unit does not require additional components per se, to operate, it is recommended to have a system in place to recharge your battery bank, which obviously you know that, such as a solar panel or a generator, especially if you're planning for extended off-grid use. This has been tested to run steady through rough roads, dry heat, and airborne dust. And again, this is a complete kit, but for van installs or other uneven surfaces, you do need to purchase the sealant separately. This does not come with sealant, but sealant is not going to be required for flat surface installs, such as like RV roofs or things like that. Now, we do also have this unit available in white that would better match your setup, and then we have other configurations as well. So if this isn't exactly what you're looking for, take a look at the other options that we have, and I'm confident you'll be able to find just what you need. But if you do decide to pick this up, we wanna hear back from you regarding how the installation went, and how the operation is going for you. So you can share your experiences with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page.
