Recommended Roof Rack For 2020 Jeep Gladiator To Hold 120lb Roof Top Tent

Question:

Hello i was wondering how wide the track is ? on Item #Y01-140B. Im planing to install a roof rack tent on it. Would it be able to support the weight? The roof tent weighs 120 LBS. Thanks,

I am not exactly sure which width you are referring to on the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Bar Roof Rack 65" # Y01-140B, so I will give you a few dimensions. The tracks running front to back on the roof measure 63" long and the internal track is 0.86" wide and 0.19" tall. The crossbars that come with this kit measure 65" long and 1-5/8" wide; they have a T-slot channel on top which measures about .25" deep, .86" wide, and the top of the channel opening measures .43" wide. Keep in mind, this kit is not a fit for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator that you linked as your vehicle, however it may be able to be fit if you have a hard top or camper shell; you may need to trim the roof tracks to fit the top. This has a weight capacity of 220lbs which would certainly hold a tent weighing 120lbs, you just need to make sure your roof or camper shell can hold that much weight; check owner's manual.

For a roof rack that is confirmed to fit the 2020 Jeep Gladiator with hard top, I would go with Exposed Racks Roof Rack Square Bars Black # ER77FR. This attaches very easily to the gutter edge on your hard top and provides sturdy square crossbars. The weight capacity of this system is 165lbs which can hold the 120lb tent, but you will want to check your owner's manual to verify the weight capacity of your roof, which you don't want to exceed.
