Today we'll be having a look at the Titan Repair Kit for lever lock couplers and brake actuators, part #T4358400. This kit offers us a cost effective way to rebuild a coupler if it becomes damaged or it becomes worn out. Especially on our brake actuators where it's a very expensive coupler to repair. It may be welded on in addition in being bolted on. It's a quick and easy solution so you can safely tow your trailer. Here's what our coupler repair kit consists of. We have our new lever lock latch here, we have a new ball catch, we have a new nut and bolt to secure everything, a new spring for our coupler, a new nut to hold this all together underneath to go with our spring, and our locking plate here. We have a coupler here, just a standard coupler, not a break actuator or anything like that.
We'll use this for demonstration purposes to show you how to install this kit. Start by unlatching your coupler. Flip it over. Push down. We can access our nut here. Stick a socket on it.
Use our ratchet. We're moving up. Case your plate here. Take the plate off. This is a keeper for our nut, keeps it from being maxed off.
Below that we have a little spring assist plate. Just take that off there. Now we can pull out our latch. Set that aside, as well. Our spring, the big side goes towards the top of the coupler. Now they can just undo our nut and bold here for our ball latch.
I'll place a wrench on the nut, and we use the socket to remove the bolt. Set those aside. Our ball latch comes out. We'll take our new ball latch, slide our bolt through making sure it lines up, goes all the way through. Install our nut. Now we'll drop down our new latch partially. Place your spring on. Hold the ball. Catch back over. Make sure stud goes through there. Drop on our new plate here making sure the curve side faces towards and our inaudible 00:03:05 are facing up towards us. Drop down a new nut catch, and we can work our nut back on. Once we have that done enough we can see our nut can't be backed off because it's sitting inside this plate. We can adjust our coupler if we need to to get a looser or tighter fit, as necessary. With that replace, now our coupler will now engage, lock down easily, and secure our trailer to our ball right here. It's nice, quick, and easy mechanism to use now. That completes our look at the Titan Repair Kit for level lock couplers and brake actuators, part #T4358400.
