This product did not fit my Thule T2 Classic. Customer Service was helpful with instructions on how to proceed with the return, but I had to pay for shipping which was more than the product was worth. Ultimately, I are the cost. Double check that this product fits your spec before buying.

This bolt does not fit the hitch adapter

Thank you for your review. This bolt is only designed for Thule T2 Classic platform bike racks. If the adapter you have is for another Thule bike rack besides the T2 this bolt will not work.

Replacement Hitch Pin Bolt Needed For An Old Sportworks Transport T2 Bike Rack
Hi Shawn, I reached out to Thule and they couldn't confirm the thread pitch of the carrier but thought that it might be M12 x 40mm. We offer this under part # 908-1240-54, which would also require an M12 Washer # 951-1224-54 and Lock Washer # 956122159 for proper installation.

What is Size of Thule T2 Classic Hitch Bolt 8537012
The bolt size of the # 8537012 is 1/2 inch -13 UNC as we have verified that with Thule. The confusion I believe is that a 3/4 inch wrench is used to loosen/tighten it, but the diameter of the bolt where the threads are is 1/2 inch.

Would Longer Bolt Replacing THSTL2 Be More Secure than Pin that Came with It
If you have a Thule Snug Tite # THSTL2 the correct replacement hitch pin would be the part # 853-5917 actually and not the bolt you mentioned. The # THSTL2 is a very secure setup though. If somehow you could use a bolt with threads on the other end of it like the one you mentioned it wouldn't be any more secure than what came with the # THSTL2.
