This part was hard to find because it is one of Thules older roof rack. It is exactly what I needed. Thank you etrailer for finding it. Oh by the way ,I emailed Thules about it and they never returned with a message.

Product worked great. Used them for knock off J cradles I purchased at [...] that came without the brackets. They are a detention with a rubber coating that grabs the cross bar so the cradles don't move, especially important on a round cross bar. I had to knock off one star due to etrailer's shipping delay. After 4 days of no shipment notification, I had to call to find out there was an issue in the shipping department and orders were delayed. They comped me express shipping (I think - need to check my cc statement) and got it to me in time for a long road trip my with kayak.

I was looking for a replacement part for my Field and Stream kayak rack. I found this part on etrailer. Although it is for a Thule product, it looked exactly like the part I needed. Was correct product but would have appreciated necessary bolts and wing nuts required to attach j bars.
We realize that there would be an additional cost but that's reasonable

The knob and bolt are indeed sold separately, as Thule does not offer them as a kit. The knob is part # 753-0783 and the M6x65 bolt is sold as part # 915-066-554 [no longer available].

Replacement Parts for Older Thule Hull-A-Port 835XTR J-Style Kayak Carrier
The Bracket # 853-5837, Base Pad # 8535302, and Carriage Bolts # 915-066-554 are correct as replacement parts for your older Hull-A-Port 835XTR model J-Style carrier. To replace the arm pad on your carrier you need the part # 8533019. I'm not sure if the entire base can be removed because the only part that is replaceable is the pad itself. If it is riveted to the arms and Thule doesn't have replacement bases (which they don't) then I don't really recommend trying to remove the base. I...

I spoke with my contact at Thule and he stated that if you have the Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier # TH834, the correct mounting brackets to use with your Thule Square Bars is the part # 853-5513. The Replacement Metal Bracket # 853-5837 that you referenced is compatible with an older version of the Hull-A-Port that is no longer available. The part number for this older version was 835XTR.

Parts Needed For Mounting Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier 835 To Vehicle Crossbars
To mount the Thule Hull A Port 835 you will need the following components. You already have the Base Pad # TH96JV on your carrier from the image. You will need 4 of the Replacement M6 x 50 Carriage Bolt # 915-0650-54. The original kit came with 4 of each these and a larger size for different thickness and shape crossbars. These will hold the Metal Bracket # 853-5837 in place and the Replacement 3-Wing, Low M6 Hand Knob # 753-0783 will tighten up on the quick release side of the bracket....

I measured the Replacement Metal Bracket # 853-5837 for you. The distance from the center of the slot to the center of the hole is 4-7/8 inches. The overall length of the bracket is 6-3/8 inches. I have included a picture showing these measurements for you.

There are a couple factors for finding the correct feet for your roof rack. The foot pack will depend on the style roof on your 2015 CRV.
