This exterior wall vent is built to keep rain and moisture from sneaking into your range hood exhaust. The integrated canopy shields the vent opening, while the built-in damper closes securely to block out water and debris when the fan isn’t running. It’s a solid upgrade that helps protect your interior from moisture damage.
The damper can be locked in the closed position using the pivoting latches, so you can keep it sealed tight when not in use. That extra bit of control is great for keeping out pests and drafts, especially during storage or bad weather.
The 1-3/4" collar ensures a snug, stable fit to your exhaust ducting. When sealed properly, it helps create a tight connection that resists leaks. It’s designed for lasting durability without gaps that could let water or air slip through.
Installing this vent is simple and doesn’t require special tools. It mounts to the outside wall where your exhaust exits, using 10 screws and sealant (both sold separately). Just cut the opening, apply sealant around the flange, and secure it in place.
The vent fits a 10-1/4" long x 3-1/2" tall cutout and measures 11-1/2" long x 5-1/8" tall overall. Once installed, it gives a neat, finished look in Nu-Tru white plastic that blends nicely with most exteriors.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Ventline Exterior Wall Vent for your RV range hood in Nu-Tru White. Now this exterior wall vent's gonna keep water out of your RV's range hood exhaust outlet. The integrated canopy is going to shield the vent opening from rain. If you notice here, we can close that flap there, and it's secured with the side latches here. But if I move those, then that's going to allow this flap to open.
So I did wanna point that out. I'm going to secure that again there with these latches just like that. And now, that will not open up. So that's a nice touch that this has. So this built-in damper's gonna be great for range hoods that don't have an internal damper.
And this is gonna be a pretty simple installation. This is going to obviously attach to the outside wall where exhaust ducting or the outlet exits the RV or trailer. Now this will require, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten screws. You're gonna have to pick those screws up locally. This will not include that hardware.
Also, you do wanna use sealant as well. So the screws and the sealant are going to be sold separately. Let me see if I can go ahead and give you some measurements. Let me give you the measurements of the cutout here first. So end to end, 10-1/4 inches.
And then looking at the height of that cutout, if I can see that, about 3, almost 3-1/2 inches. About 3-3/8 to 3-1/2 inches. And then the depth of the collar, about 1-3/4 inches. And then looking at the overall measurements, looks like we are sitting right about 11-1/2 inches by, let's say about 5-1/8 inches. So again, this is in that, Ventline calls it a Nu-Tru White color. It's not as white as the paper on my table. Kind of an off-whitish color. And you see the instructions here as well to guide you through that installation process. After accidentally leaving the damper flap unlocked for the drive home, it mysteriously decided not to return home with us. It flew away mid travel I have to assume. Etrailer.com had exactly what I needed to return to stove top vent flap happiness. Highly recommended as etrailer.com stocks exactly what you need for your R.V.
Good fit and finish. The mounting hole pattern was different but I was able to easily re-drill holes to match the existing holes. Overall, very happy with the vent and it also looks good on the coach.
My new trailer came with a stove vent that exhausted to the inside of the trailer making it unbearable to cook inside in the hot sun of Florida. I modified the fume hood so it could vent through the wall the way it should have been in the 1st place. This plastic vent cover worked as good as any could be expected to do so and provided a neat appearance to finish off the modification. Reasonably priced to boot.
The hinge tabs on the top corners of the flapper that work to allow the flapper inside the vent to open when airflow happens and close to insulate the inside of the vent are not strong enough. I broke them easily when trying to reinsert them after the flapper popped off during installation. I suggest the manufacturer make the posts thicker and longer and more resilient to bending so that the flapper can be removed when needed and also stay attached and in place when inserted into the housing without breaking off.
Replaced old range hood on '89 Class C. Fit like OEM. Wife loves the "new look".

A replacement vent shroud that includes a coarse screen-like grid and a easy to use flap-lock to keep it closed during travel.

I have been a satisfied customer of etrailer for years, however my most recent order was substituted with a different brand. I specifically ordered this Ventline product because my rv has a Ventline brand hood on it, and the color sounds desirable. What I got was a Dexter brand. It looks similar but it is not what was advertised, nor what I ordered. I emailed etrailer immediately upon discovering this to get their input or resolution. That was on a Friday afternoon so not surprising I haven't heard back...yet. I just don't want to settle for this substitute and find it doesn't fit perfectly and I have a gaping hole in the side of my rv while I search for a Ventline vent.

Ventline is a division of Dexter, they might have re-branded the vent without our knowledge. Let me look into that for you.
