Great addition to my utility trailer. Got them to tie down my tractor because I did not feel comfortable clipping the straps to the stake holes. I have used them more to transport my full size UTV and they have really worked well.

Use them every time I haul my tractor or UTV. A year later and they are as good as new. Absolutely no complaints

these work great, easy to move to different pockets for securing multiple loads.

Excellent service

Excellent product! These are great to have around when needed to use stake pockets without damaging rope or straps. Convenient for attaching a lot of styles of hooks too. Very happy with these.

I frankly think it’s just a bad design. By definition, the whole principle has the long bolt to secure the bracket. Necessarily, when you ratchet a strap against the loop you are likely going to pull up on the assembly until it stops at the bold. Then, the question is the strength of the bolt ( bold whose length is way longer than it needs to be). Obviously, with bumps, etc, the bolt can potentially move laterally. This can wind up putting pressure on the cotter pin. I believe what’s happening is that the cotter pin breaks under stress. The real safety problem, however, is that you may not catch that the bolt or pin or both are missing. The bolt is down under the assembly. You can strap at an angle and it’s likely that the side pressure will force the assembly to bind and not come out. So I expect that I’ve been using the set up without realizing that the bolt is missing. If you were to get into a quick turn you could wind up taking pressure off one side and then the assembly could lose the bind and then pull out. At a minimum, I would shorten the bolt to the required length and I would discontinue use of the cotter pin. I’d just have a bolt on both ends. The pin is not capable of handling the side load pressures, particularly where the angle of a strap is putting a lot of stress and if the cotter pin is bound, either against the assembly or against the side of the trailer it will just snap. For the above safety reasons I’d recall them.

I called Rackem manufacturer and Glenn recommended that instead of using the pin, as this application is just for quick installation loads, he would suggest for a person like you using this repeatedly for lateral loads, to drill a hole in your stake pocket and attach the D-ring with a nut through it for a more permanent installation.

by:

Exactly what i needed. My trailer’s stake brackets are smaller then the standard size, and these fit perfectly. Seem very well built and a value for the price.

by:

My opinion is the anchor has way to much slop in the 2x4 size stake pocket. I would prefer they were wider for a tighter fit. It is like it is not made for a 2x4 size stake pocket. Plus with the width being so narrow I could see this actually bending the bolt overtime. The product is well made but the design of the width dimension is poor. I should have went with a different product like the REDLINE #WFSPDR

by:

Had a mix up on my original order, but it was fixed with courteous and very fast shipping. I highly recommend buying from this seller. The product is extremely strong and durable and the customer service is unbeatable. I can't give more than 5 stars, but I would. A+++

by:

These stake pocket tie downs make securing chain very easy. Be aware of the WLL as it may be less than the WLL of your other components.

by:

A little disappointed in these. When you slide these in to the stake pockets there is a lot of slop in them all the way around. D rings are small at 2.5''. The folded part of the anchor is less than 3/16'' thick and 2-3/4'' x 1-1/4 makes for a lot of play in a pocket that fits a 2x4. I' sure when everything is cinched down it is all good, but you will probably have to remove these every time when unloaded for the amount of noise these would make rattling down the road. I may return these and have my own made with a little more beef to them

by:

First time ordering from eTrailer. Experience was good. Online ordering was easy and the Stake Pocket D-Rings are awesome! I ordered six of them and will definitely be ordering more.

by:

This product does exactly what it's advertised to do for your trailer. After installing them on my trailer in a matter of minutes, I'm look forward to hauling my race car with more confidence. etrailer delivered my product quickly too.

Thank You !

by:

Nice heavy duty. Fit in stake is loose doesn't fill up the pocket space and could allow for shifting within pocket - about 1/2" to 3/4 " of slop. Had hoped for a tighter fit

by:

Exactly as described and will work perfectly for extra tie downs.. As usual this company rocks !!

by:

exactly as described

by:

These will solve the tye down problem I was concerned with. hooking up the tye down strap @ the edge of the trailer. they will make an easy way to attach any number of objects.

by:

Great product. Works like a champ. Now I can quickly and easily relocate my tie points to adequately secure a single or multiple items on my car trailer

by:

Exactly as described. Fit in existing pickets on trailer perfectly. Haven't used to haul yet.

by:

Purchased 2 pair of these as additional tie down points for heavy equipment. Very well made and work perfectly. Great quality, good value, very happy customer.

by:

These don't fit my stake holes well, but they work. Its easier to attach to a During than the frame.

These dont fit my stake holes well, but they work. Its easier to attach to a During than the frame......my comment a year ago. It hasnt changed. It is smaller than the width of the pocket and the bolt is an inch or so below. Im getting ready to bolt on d-rings instead. It has worked though...

by:

Great service good product, The only issue with the stake pockets is that they needed to be ground down the edges were sharp on all of the pockets.

by:

Received these today and look as expected. Ring looks heavy duty and can’t wait to use them

by:

Should work great for my trailer.

  • Can a Trailer With a 5 x 4 1/2 Bolt Pattern Be Converted to a 4 x 4 3/4 Bolt Pattern
Hey Scott, unfortunately converting from a 5x4.5 bolt pattern to a 4x4.75 bolt pattern is not possible without significant modifications or custom-made parts because they have a different number of lug nuts (5 vs 4) and different lug nut spacing. I wish I had a better answer for you, but if there is something else you have questions about or need help with something else feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

  • Will There Be Movement in Stake Pocket When Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchors # PK-SPTD are Installed
With the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchors # PK-SPTD there are two ways this can be installed. The more permanent method which requires you to use the nuts on the pin that runs through it which holds it tight and prevents movement. Or using the cotter pin which allows a bit more movement but also the ability to remove when not needed. If you used the nuts to tighten the anchors down you'd get rid of the movement.

  • Would The Rack'Em Heavy Duty Stake Pockets Work For Compact Tractor Tie Downs?
Hello John, thanks for reaching out. The Rack'Em Heavy Duty Stake Pockets # PK-BSP do not have a specific weight capacity. This is mainly because the actual capacity will largely be dependent on how it is attached. The same can be said for all of our other trailer stake pocket anchor points as manufactures simply do not test for this as there are just too many variables. As long as they are properly installed, the can definitely be used for a tractor tie down. The capacity of that setup...

  • Dimensions of the Brophy Stake Pocket Tie Down Anchors
Hey Bob, I went out to the warehouse and measured the Brophy Stake Pocket Tie Down Anchor # TL1B and unfortunately think this one is going to be a bit too long for you. From the bottom of the tie down to the underside of the flange measures 8", 3 5/16" wide, and is 1 9/16" thick. We also have the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchors # PK-SPTD which is a bit closer at 5" long x 2 3/4" wide, and 1 3/8" thick, but nothing matching exactly what you need. If there is anything else I can do for...

  • Can CargoAnchor Kit With CargoBuckle Straps Attach To Car Hauler Without Angle Iron Side Rails?
Ty, if you had angle irons then it would work, but if there’s nothing to attach the angle or multi mounts to, the CargoAnchor kits # CB99GR or # CB49GR won’t be ideal. In that case, you might look at a bolt-on D-ring # RR6K-4 setup or stake pocket setup # PK-SPTD paired with the same CargoBuckle G3 straps # IMF18800, same strength, more mounting flexibility. If you don't need to move it and you're fine with a more permanent solution, the CargoBuckle G3 Straps # IMF18800 come with a...
