pure sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using pure sine wave technology, it creates clean power with low distortion, making it safe, efficient, and perfect for sensitive electronics like computers. Plus, the inverter can generate 3,500 starting watts and 2,000 running watts which is a great fit for appliances and electronics.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 GFCI outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately). It has a function switch that lets you select different output voltages (100V, 110V, 115V, and 120V) and frequencies (50Hz and 60Hz). This switch can also turn the power saver on and off. Additionally, the power saving adjustment dial near the function switch sets the input and wake up thresholds for the power saver.

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage, overloading, and overcurrent. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 300-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 300 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remotes Provide Easy Monitoring and Control

There are 2 fixed-mount remotes (sold separately) that let you monitor and control the inverter from inside your RV.

GP-SWR-A inverter remote

For a simple, no-frills option, the Go Power GP-SWR-A Inverter Remote lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

GP-ISW-R-12 inverter remote

For additional features, the Go Power GP-ISW-R-12 Inverter Remote provides LED indicators that display the voltage, output power, inverter status, power saving mode status, and fault conditions. It also has a power button that controls the inverter.

  • How to Determine Correct Inverter for TV and Coffee Machine
I can definitely help you determine the correct inverter for your TV and coffee machine. To figure out the correct inverter, you simply need to know the amount of watts your TV and coffee machine use. While TVs don't generally consume much wattage, coffee machines use up quite a bit of energy, often over 1,000 watts. So I think you hit the nail on the head with the 2,000 watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156. This would be the best option for your needs, and for...

  • Using Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch to Switch Between Shore Power and Solar Power
The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34264403 that you referenced is a good way to automatically switch between shore power (when available) and an inverter that's being powered by solar charged batteries. It is always going to use shore power if it's present, and as long as the inverter is on, it will automatically switch to it once shore power is disconnected. For this type of setup, starting at the roof, you will of course first need the solar panels like the 220 watt # 34272628....

Hey Eric congrats on the new RV. To install a 2,000 watt inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter item # 34278156, that I highly recommend, you'll need the Installation Kit for Go Power Inverters item # 342GPDCKIT4. This kit comes with a 300-Amp DC-rated, class T fuse and two 10' long 2 gauge cables. What appliances or equipment are you wanting to run off of the inverter?

What you're looking for is an inverter which converts 12V DC power to 110V AC power. To find the correct size inverter you'll need to figure out the the wattage draw for the items you're planning on powering. The Go Power Lithium RV Battery # 34282738 has a 100-amp hour capacity. You will need to compare this to the current flooded batteries you have installed to determine what increase in capacity will be. Whatever the increase in amp hours is will be the amount of capacity you are increasing. We do have a few options of 12 Volt DC refrigerators, see the link below. If you want something with a freezer included, I suggest the Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer Drawer, # WAY44FR. • What Size Battery Bank for a 2000 Watt Invertor
If I understand correctly, you have a 12 Volt battery rated at 35 amp hours and want to connect this to a Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34278156 rated for 2,000 Watt. If you want to operate anything for an extended period of time that needs that large of an inverter then you would need at least 400 AH minimum in your battery bank. So no less than 12. However, trying to wire that many batteries together will cause use of a lot of wire that increases resistance, so be aware...

When using a 2,000 watt inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156 you are correct that you would want to use 2 batteries. You would want that additional battery to be a full size battery for correct performance. Not a smaller battery like a motorcycle or jet ski battery. • How Many Batteries And What Size, for a 2000 Watt Invertor?
The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34278156 that you linked to, is rated for 2,000 Watt. To operate anything for an extended period requiring this size inverter, I suggest at least a battery bank of at least 400 AH minimum. The quantity of batteries is dependent on the rating of each. For example, the Go Power AGM Deep Cycle, # 34276285,is rated for 100 amp hours; I suggest having at least 4.

It can go up to 2000 watts in running power but you'll most likely be pulling less. The higher the power draw the higher the length of time needed the higher battery amp hour you'll want. • What Is Needed To Run An RV Air Conditioner System With A 2000 Watt Inverter
An RV air conditioner system is going to pull roughly 100 amps per hour so you wouldn't be able to run it long enough with your current battery bank. RV solar unfortunately isn't at a point where it would replenish the battery bank fast enough to maintain the draw that your AC would put on it. As long as your inverter has the capacity to meet the startup and running capacities of a refrigerator, you are able to run the Everchill # 324-000110, which has an amp draw of 0.8 amps. With that being said, it's likely not going to run as efficiently as it would run while being powered by a pure sine wave inverter and could potentially run hot at times. You'll want to make sure that the refrigerator unit is well vented and not stored in a cabinet or anything of the sort. For this reason...

  • How Many Batteries Needed for Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter
For the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34278156, maxing out or coming close to doing so, you are pulling 2000 watts /12 volts = 167 amps per hour. So if you use a 400 amp battery bank at 12 volts, you would divide 400 amp battery / 167 amps = 2.4 hours before completely depleting the battery bank. This is not a good thing to do, never completely drain your battery bank. If yo go with a lithium battery pack you can discharge deeper however, if you are lead acid never...

  • Can a Inverter Be Wired To a Automatic Transfer Switch To Power a CPAP Device?
Yes, you can wire your Inverter # 34278156 to your Transfer Switch # F30ATS to be able to power your CPAP in your bedroom. Do understand since the entire RV will be able to receive power this may cause you to quickly drain your batteries since more than just the CPAP will be drawing power. You may be best to mount the inverter in your bedroom so only the CPAP can get power from the battery lowering the draw on the coach battery.
