Is the only difference between the T1003VP and T1003VPM the plastic or aluminum handles ?

Yes, the primary difference between the part # T1003VP and part # T1003VPM is the handle material. The T1003VP comes with a plastic handle, while the T1003VPM uses a more durable die-cast aluminum handle. Other than that, both are 3 inch Bladex waste valve bodies and are designed to fit the same applications, including Bladex, Valterra, Bristol, and Anonda valves. They also include the seals, nuts, and bolts needed for installation. Most commonly a 3 inch waste valve like the T1003VP or T1003VPM is used on the black water tank.

I replaced both my black and grey water valves with these replacements a while back and they are great. I also like the aluminum handle and wish I had gotten them on both valves, but I only did on the black water 3" valve. Either way, every time I took the cap off to dump my tanks before, I had a lot of really nasty brown leakage running out. Since replacing the valves no problem. They fit perfectly, had all the gaskets and bolts to install, and the whole thing took a half hour at the most for both valves. Very good product and more than fair price.

Hi Ron The 3 inch valves are exactly the same install the same, but I would choose aluminum handles for the extra four dollars. Very easy to install.. Drain and flush your black water tank with freshwater before removing and installing your new valve…
