When you need one mount that can haul it all, this combo delivers. The pintle hook handles up to 16,000 lbs gross towing weight, and the 2" chrome-plated ball is rated for 10,000 lbs. Whether you’re pulling a heavy equipment trailer or a standard coupler style, the solid forged steel build keeps things steady and strong every time you hook up.
Towing gear takes abuse from weather and road grime, but this mount is made to last. The pintle hook and shank use high-strength forged steel with a gloss black powder coat that shrugs off rust and chips. The chrome-plated hitch ball adds another layer of corrosion protection, so the whole setup stays looking clean and performing smooth after long miles on the road.
Switching between lunette rings and standard couplers doesn’t have to mean swapping hardware. This combo mount does both in one piece—just connect to a lunette ring or a 2" ball coupler as needed. The tethered safety pin for the pintle hook stays right where you need it, and the fixed shank slides into any 2" x 2" receiver for quick changes between trailers.
A level trailer tracks better and feels smoother behind the wheel. With a maximum drop of 2-3/4", this ball mount helps line things up between your truck and trailer for even weight distribution and confident handling. From there, the 15-1/4" overall length gives good clearance between your vehicle and coupler without adding extra bulk.
The shank uses a standard 5/8" pin hole so you can secure it with a typical hitch pin like # PC3 or a locking option such as # e98880. There’s no extra setup—just slide it in, pin it down, and you’re ready to tow.

It worked perfectly well the first time I took it out. If it were not for the steep price increase I could have really used the adjustable model as my trailer does not sit level and I have to arrange other blocks under the crank.
Hitch was exactly as expected. I like the extra security of the pintle hook as opposed to just the ball hitch.
I own 2 of these hitches and regularly pull my dump trailer with pintle hitch. Trailer is almost always at 14k pounds. This hitch has worked flawlessly and is a great deal.

Are you speaking of the hitch pin that holds the pintle into the hitch receiver, or the linch pin that holds the pintle hook closed? The hitch pin isn't included, but the linch pin should have been.
