Hello, I was curious if some of the ball/pintle combos can be flipped to get some rise for the ball mount. Specifically these 2 Curt products: C48007, CU37FR. Thanks, Steven

According to the folks at Curt, when the # CU37FR and # C48007 pintle hooks are designed and cast, they are not designed to withstand the force they'd be subjected to if they were inverted and used as standard ball mount.

You'd be best served by measuring the receiver height and the height of the trailer coupler when it's jacked up so it's level, and finding the height difference. Then choose a ball mount that would provide you with the necessary weight rating, ball size and rise for your needs.

I'd recommend going with something like the # MD206 from BulletProof, which would allow you to adjust for a rise of up to 6 inches, as well as a 6 inch drop. The ball mount includes both a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch trailer ball.
