The Kuat Ibex rack adjusts between full-height and mid-height configurations to match whatever you’re hauling. Run it at full-height when you need extra clearance and open bed space, or drop it down to mid-height to keep gear within easy reach. Each configuration locks in securely and gives you flexibility for everything from camping gear to fishing setups.
Channel tracks built into the uprights and crossbars let you mount MOLLE panels, the Piston SR bike rack, cargo baskets, and other accessories without extra brackets. The top channels also fit clamp-on gear, so you can run fishing rod holders or rooftop carriers side by side. It’s a clean, modular system that keeps gear locked down and organized for off-road and backcountry trips.
Made from durable aluminum and finished with a black powder coat, the rack resists corrosion and wear from rough terrain and harsh weather. It’s strong enough to handle up to 300 lbs of cargo yet light enough to keep your setup efficient. The rugged finish adds long-term protection and keeps the rack looking sharp even after repeated use.
Installation is straightforward with included hardware that mounts directly to bedrails or utility rails—no drilling required. Once installed, the rack stays solid and stable, but it can also be removed if you need a clear bed. Optional adapters (sold separately) let you mount it to Retrax tonneau cover top channels, adding even more options for setup and storage.
With a 300-lb weight capacity and an overall size of 60" long, the Ibex delivers serious strength in a compact design. Crossbars extend from 37-3/4" to 50-3/8", with top channels measuring 46-3/4" long. Whether you’re packing for a weekend off-grid or loading up work gear, this rack is built to handle the load without compromise.
Ratings & Reviews
The rack is awesome. Sturdy and very functional with a ton of options.
Very happy with this rack. I have used it for about 6 months now and it held up extremely well and looks awesome. I added a large molle panel on the passenger side and two small molle panels on the driver side. I added the front molle panel to protect the rear window and the crossbar risers.
What I like: Well built, high quality, looks awesome, lots of easy to install and remove accessories (it is like the Jeep of bed racks)
What I do not like: A few screws have backed out after about 6 months (use blue Loctite), the front of the rack does not match the contour of the top of the cab and creates a gap between the rack and the truck cab.
Overall, I'd buy this rack over and over again. I cannot wait until Kuat releases the hard panel kit to make this an enclosed bed topper.
