Today we're going to review part number XIL-ST12. This is the Vision X LED light strip. It is touch enable switch activated and twelve inches in length. This sleek LED light strip will illuminate tight spaces, it's easy to use on and off switch will let you dim the light. Basically you can see right here there is a bulls eye picture there. Basically what you do is you just touch that and it will go on to high, touch it again it will dim it to low, then touch it again it will go off.

I'm going to show you in a minute here when we hook it up to power how that works. This does have long lasting LED's which have a 30,000 hour life span. The lens right here that's over the LEDs, blends together the light from the LEDs to create just one shadow. It's all in a die cast aluminum construction housing, has a black powder coat finish that won't rust. As you can see it is a two wire design, has a black wire and a red wire. The black is for ground, the red is for power.

The length on these two wires is about eighteen inches. It is a simple bolt-on installation. You can see the holes on each end where you can put your screws into. Again the proper dimensions on this, the overall length as you can see from edge to edge is going to be right at twelve inches. The width on that is going to be one inch and the depth on it is right at a half an inch. The effective lumen output on this light is 300 lumens, the raw lumen output is 328, the wattage is 4.2 watts.

It has a power draw of .35 amps, the input voltage of 9 volts to 32 volts DC and this part does come with a limited lifetime warranty. What I want to do now is I'm going to attach this to a 12 volt power source just to show you how the switch operates and the brightness of the light. We'll go ahead and take the black wire and hook it to our ground and hook our red wire to our power. I'm going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and turn the 12 volt power on. You can see the brightness so again if you push right where this bulls eye is you just touch it, it goes to dim. Touch it again and it goes off, touch it again it goes on to high, again dim, touch it and it goes off.
