Features to know about

Push-Button Lifting for Heavy Hitching

trailer valet push button operation

When your trailer tongue gets tiring to crank by hand, this electric A-frame jack takes over the raise-and-lower work with push-button controls. The 3,500-lb lift capacity gives it the capability to handle demanding tongue loads while the motor runs 20 percent quieter than standard jacks. Your hookup routine feels less physically demanding, and the coupler moves into position without the usual hand-crank effort.

Tongue Weight Readings While You Hitch

Loading can change from trip to trip, and tongue weight is easy to overlook when you're already focused on getting the trailer connected. The built-in tongue weight scale gives real-time load readings before hitching, turning the lift step into a chance to check how the trailer is sitting. You can raise your trailer and see the tongue weight during the same routine, making the final setup easier to verify before towing.

DeWalt Battery Power with Manual Backup

Power is part of the convenience, but a jack still needs to work when it's time to move your trailer. The PowerBoost configuration is compatible with DeWalt batteries (not included), and the 60" lead cables let you connect directly to your trailer's 12V battery. If electrical power isn't available, the manual crank keeps the jack usable, so your trailer can still be raised or lowered at the coupler.

Footplate Support on Uneven Ground

trailer valet footplate

Gravel, dirt, and pavement can all make parked trailer support feel different under load. The actuating stability footplate helps reduce sink and sway on those surfaces, while the 5,000 lbs static load capacity supports the trailer while parked. Your trailer has a broader point of contact under the jack, helping it stay supported during loading, storage, or hookup prep.

Video Transcript for Review of Trailer Valet Trailer Jack - Electric Jack Digital TW Scale DeWalt - TV39ZR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Trailer Valet Electric Tongue Jack with Digital Tongue Weight Scale, powered by your DeWalt drill battery. Now this is an electric trailer jack that's designed to make hitching and leveling your trailer a whole lot easier and much more accurate. One of the standout features is going to be the built-in tongue weight scale that's going to give you real-time tongue weight readings before you even hitch up. That's gonna help ensure proper load distribution and it's gonna also improve towing safety and performance.

Now this does have a lift capacity of 3,500 pounds and a static load capacity of 5,000 pounds. And this jack operates with simple push button controls. So raising and lowering the trailer's gonna require little effort. This is powered by a DeWalt drill battery, and I happen to have one right here. And this does not include the battery, just so you're aware of that.

So you'll just have to bring your own DeWalt drill battery, and I'm just going to slide it right into there just like that. (battery clacks) That's how easy that's going to be to install it. And then let me go ahead and give you a closeup view here, make sure that I'm centered here so you can have a clear view. We have a power switch right here, and so that's going to power it on. You see our tongue weight scale here, and then the controls are gonna be very easy to use.

(trailer jack whirs) So really easy to use, real easy to read. And this has a total retracted height of about 31 1/2 inches. This is going to give you lift travel of about 16 1/2 inches. So the total extended height is gonna be right at 48 inches. Now if power isn't available or if your battery runs out, there is a manual hand crank option here.

So you'll just pull this cap off, and then you have the crank here and then you'll just stick that into the socket there. And then that's going to allow you to manually use this jack if you run out of juice. So again, the scale here is gonna be very easy to read and you're gonna be able to zero that out when you're ready to get that most accurate reading, and very easy to use. Let me go back out to my Y view here real quick. And it goes, I mean it moves pretty quickly. The buttons look to me like they're pretty, especially the retract and extend button here, it's sealed, and so it's doesn't feel like inexpensive buttons or anything like that, power switch as well, and that even lights up to let you know that it's activated and then the battery can be easily removed just like that. So again, keep in mind the battery is not included. You do have to provide your own battery. So installation's gonna be pretty flexible, thanks to the circular mounting plate here. Let me see if I can show that to you, just kind of give you an idea there. So it's going to be able to be positioned in multiple orientations to fit your trailer and clear other components. For added stability here, we do have our foot plate here. So it's, as you can see, it does articulate a little bit. I'm able to move the jack back and forth a little bit on that foot plate. So that's gonna help reduce sinking into surfaces like gravel, dirt, and it's gonna be really secure for you and it's going to give you a more secure setup when you're parking or you're unhitching your trailer. The foot plate can be removed as well with this pin and clip here. So it is built for outdoor use, obviously. It's got weather-resistant construction on it and the motor operates about 20% quieter than others. I mean, you probably barely heard it running through my microphone when I was operating it. So overall, it's pretty quiet. And everything that you need for insulation comes right outta the box. You're gonna get some hardware here. Again, I mentioned the crank. And Trailer Valet is known for making very robust products. I love the finish that they put on their products, the metal here, it's kind of like a textured finish. So I think the finish is gonna hold up really well and I think it's going to give you many, many years of great service. Well, I think it's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Thank you for joining me.

  • How Does the Built-In Tongue Weight Scale Work on the Trailer Valet TV39ZR?
Hi Robert, One of my favorite features of the Trailer Valet Jack, Part # TV39ZR, is the built in digital tongue weight scale because it takes the guesswork out of loading your trailer. As you raise the trailer with the jack, the screen on top displays the tongue weight in real time. For the most accurate reading, you'll want the trailer parked on level ground with the wheels chocked, and the coupler completely supported by the jack. Once the coupler is sitting on the hitch ball, the jack...
