Features to know about

Lifts Heavy Campers with Ease: 57" Max Height and Cable Winch Power

Getting your camper on and off the truck doesn’t have to be a struggle. This cable jack raises up to 57" using a hand-cranked winch with a 3:1 gear ratio, giving you steady lift control for up to 1,000 lbs. The aircraft-grade cable and safety latch keep everything secure while you work, so every lift feels smooth and reliable.

Sets Up Without Permanent Mounts: Portable 3-Piece Design

No need to bolt anything down or live with bulky gear hanging off your camper. This jack’s three-piece design sets up quickly and breaks down just as fast for storage. When you’re done, simply disassemble it and tuck it away. It’s a clean, portable solution that’s ready to go whenever you are.

Keeps Everything Steady: Tripod Base and Large Footplate

Nothing’s worse than a shaky setup when you’re loading or unloading. The sturdy tripod base spreads out the weight of your camper evenly, while the large footplate helps prevent sinking or tilting on soft ground. Together they give you a solid, balanced lift every time.

Built to Last Outdoors: Galvanized and Powder-Coated Steel

This jack is made for real-world use. The upright pole is galvanized for corrosion resistance, and the tripod base and lift bracket are both black powder coated. That combination holds up against dirt, moisture, and road grime so you can count on it season after season.

Supports Smooth, Even Lifting: L-Shaped Bracket and Simple Operation

The L-shaped lift bracket supports both the bottom and sides of your camper for better stability while raising or lowering. Two jacks used together keep the lift even from side to side, and one person can easily operate them in small increments if needed. Simple, steady, and dependable for every setup.

Video Transcript for Checking Out the Brophy Cable Camper Jack

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Brophy Cable Camper Jack. This is a single jack that's going to help you load and unload your truck bed camper. Now, when you're using jacks, you're always gonna need to use them in a pair. So, this is great option if you're needing to replace one of the two original, or if you're wanting to add a third jack, just for some extra stability.

But this cannot be used on its own, so you will need at least one other one as well. This does have a weight capacity of 1000 pounds. And that is of course, when you're using it with a pair. So, it won't have that full weight capacity itself. But, once you have it paired up with another one, you'll be able to lift and hold 1000 pounds.

It's got a lifting range of 17 inches up to 57 inches. I'm about six foot three. So if that gives you an idea of where this is gonna stand. It does have this extra tall pole that's going to help clear your truck beds on your pickup. So, it's going to make it very easy for you to get that truck bed camper out, no matter how tall those bed rails are.

The overall height when assembled is about 63 inches. Gives you an idea there, of the height you're working with. This is a portable design. So, it can be disassembled into three different pieces. You've got your foot piece here, your upright pole, and then your bracket here, your lift bracket.

So those three can be disassembled for storage or transport. So, instead of having to permanently install a jack on your camper, this will allow you to only use it when you need it. But only have it there when you need it. So this L shape the bracket here is what's going to support your camper. So, you'll sit the bottom inside of your camper here, in this L shape bracket. This is 21 and a half inches long, two inches wide, and two inches tall. So, very easy to put in place under your camper. That's gonna support that weight. Then the hand winch here. It's going to allow you to easily lower or, raise the jack. It's got a gear ratio of three to one. So, it's pretty quick. Of course, I don't have any weight on here, but this is going to very easily allow you to raise and lower your camper. Once you have it off your truck, you can lower it down, lift it back up when you're ready to get your truck back under it. Now, this does have the safety latch, that's gonna keep the cable from free spooling. And then the plastic handle here is going to make it very easy to keep your grip, as you're rotating that around. The tripod base is going to give us some extra width here. So it's going to just evenly distribute the camper's weight. Help eliminate that front to back and side to side motion. You can see we have the large foot plates there, that are gonna help prevent this from sinking and tilting. But of course, you always wanna make sure that you're gonna be using this on level ground. This does have a durable, corrosion resistant construction. The tripod base and the lift bracket both have a black powder coat finish to them to help resist rust and corrosion. Our upright pole is galvanized. And our cable is an aircraft grade cable, so it is gonna be very strong and durable. This jack is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's gonna be made to the quality standards we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. So if you are looking to replace your original, one of your original jacks, or like I said, adding on a third one, this is gonna be a great option for you. So, that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

It turns out that these jacks do not work for me without some modifications. While they are absolutely a well built and solid product they're just not quite ready for my application. I am using a camper meant for a smaller truck, thus there isn't any over hang for the jacks to use. Thus the angle iron piece can't reach the camper. But that is fixable. I knew it most likely would need modified.

These are great! Very sturdy and easy to work with. We bought these to load and unload our small cabover camper to our truck bed. Works great. Thank you!

by:

Very satisfied with the camperstands & unique service rendered by etrailer.com...seriously if your needs are as minds was checked out. Thanks again & always thank a Veteran

I use these jacks on a 6ft skamper. They work great. The best feature is being able to lower all the way to the ground, which is not possible with the original tube jacks. The stands can feel unstable at times especially with the folding leg. I use the jacks on a drive way with a slight angle, but would recommend using them on flat ground if possible as it is not as stable as a 4 post lift system. As long as you take your time to find the balance point of your camper they work great. Make sure you keep the cables tight because when you lower the camper it can slip several inches down if the cable has any slack on the spool. My biggest complaint would be getting the cable tight and wrapping evenly on the jack.

by:

Great Jack's that easily handle sled decks and toppers. Only complaint is you need to drill a hole and put a pin in base to keep it from falling off while moving around. I would buy these again.

by:

They work good for me. Well made, no issues. I use them on an older cabover

camper that the old hydraulic jacks had failed.

by:

Works great for my home built truck cam per.

by:

The Brophy jacks were strong, stable, easy to position, and easy to lift and lower my camper. it is a much better method than having four jacks to maneuver. And it cut down my time to 30 minutes total to load my camper instead of an hour and a half!

I have to start from my garage and winch my camper down on a cart to the street face because of the incline driveway is so dramatic and my camper won’t fit in my garage if it is attached to the truck.

I couldn’t be more happy they were great and now I have my truck loaded with my very modern camper and I’m enjoying quite the holiday! I’m using the 3 ton 67 inch trophy jacks and I’m lifting an 800 pound gross camper. The stability is outstanding.

by:

these pair of jacks are as good as i imagined. exactly what i needed to help me with lifting and stabalizing my truck pop up camper. easy to assemble and crank up and down with a great comfortable feeling that these jacks doing all the work.

by:

Would be nice if there was about 8 more inches of cable so you can lower it all the way down to the feet. Had jack up camper just get it on the lift

by:

So I have owned my CJ7 4 Brophy camper Jacks for a year. Throughout this time, they have been outside exposed to the elements continuously, and they look and operate as if they were straight out of the box. I've been using the camper jacks to renovate my camper, and I couldn't have done this project without them. I am so happy I bought the camper Jacks it was the smartest purchase I've made in a long time, and etrailer.com was the best place to purchase them.

by:

Great directions for manual assembly, quality metal and parts. Solid and exactly the heavy duty I was looking for to use with my slide in truck camper.

by:

Ok so I have yet to use them yet but I wanted to put in my two cents. First off using a double walled cardboard box to ship these heavy jacks/ winches in has got to be the worst mistake this company would make. I get cutting costs but when almost every review mentions this you’d think they would correct it. In turn the paint is gone in multiple places. When the box got to me the UPS driver didn’t think I was going to accept it. I did and the product seems to work. I wish the plates were wider but it should do the job when I need to use it.

by:

5 stars! Love these jacks. They are strong, dependable and do the job. I was a bit nervous with balance point at first, but I built some super inexpensive stabilizers and now getting camper in and out is a breeze

by:

One jack is perfect. But the top keeper hole on one jack was not deburred and I couldn’t even get the cable past it until I broke it off. Side paint and safety sticker is scraped off. Cable was not kept tight and overwound causing kinks in the cable. I have a 30 year old set with no kinks at all. Buying a premium product should not be a shop project.

by:

Easy assembly and not much cranking effort required. Very stable and that was a fear I had since we were lifting with just 2 jacks. But all went well with my home build truck camper that weighs about 600 pounds Very good product.

by:

I have no problem with the quality and function of the Brophy jacks, it is my second set. My issue is with the packaging (lack of packing materials)and the surface damage endured by the paint and labels. I've already reviewed this and included photos

by:

These jacks are very well built and are strong enough for the job. I can't say how they will work for a large camper. I removed a shell, which required some creativity because the tripods are in front of the wheels, and impossible to drive the truck out from underneath. See pictures, they are worth a million words.

by:

"Box was badly damaged on arrival. I opened the box and discovered the lift tubes were not there. After contacting customer service they let me know the missing lift tubes were in separate shipment. Customer service was kind and very friendly and got the tracking number of the separate shipment. They gave me the new delivery date and said I could call anytime for updates. Everything came as it should be despite the boxes being pretty beat up. That's really the only reason for 4 instead of five stars. etrailer's dedication to customer service is far above industry standards in my opinion and would definitely recommend them for this alone. I'll post another update with the jacks in use."

by:

it is a really nice set up. easy to use and keeps the weight of my truck i am happy with this purchase i used to struggle putting my camping tent over the ladder rack now with no effort at all i am able to load my camper with the tent attached to it .

by:

It worked well a little wobbly need to be on flat surface., maybe a wider angle iron on lifting contact with camper. Used only once . Well built. Lifted off my truck and set on my utility trailer

by:

Etrailer is consistently great, but quality control at Brophy is extremely poor and they unfortunately don't stand by their product.

The two main issues I encountered were (1) welded joints that are meant to be square that are more than 15 degrees out of square and (2) a soft steel is used in all of the winch components. When I attached the handle, the threads on the pin stripped. Yes, I tightened it firmly. No, I did not use excessive force. In addition to soft steel, that pin is flattened on two sides, so there aren't many threads remaining, and they supply a very thin nut, so it's only grabbing a couple threads.

I contacted Brophy directly and spoke with John, who (I'm still laughing) told me he's worked there 15 years and never heard of anyone stripping a bolt on the handle.

Then, after taking 24 hours to confer with his team, he abrogated responsibility and sent me a link where I can buy a replacement winch.

I understand that they use a supplier for the winch assembly, but a company with integrity would ensure that all aspects of their product work. They would use their leverage with their supplier to ensure quality control and get a different supplier if need be.

Anyway. The Brophy cable camper jack CJ41 is made cheaply and if you still decide to buy from Brophy, I hope you have a better experience than I did.

by:

Beefy product. Well worth the money, even if just to save yourself the hassle and embarrassment of rounding up 6 friends to help you unload a slide in. You’ll probably spend the price of the jacks on beer and pizza alone…then you’ll have to do it all over when you want to upload it again.

I was able to unload my old truck camper into a storage unit. The jacks are compact with plenty of room on either side of the camper to work within a 10ft space. Rotated side to side, lifting and then lowering the camper on my own and with no strain. Good product.

by:

My corner jack stands were getting a little scary. They had loosened up over the years. These brophy lifts were just the ticket, making things much easier and more stable. Took a little effort to find the center of gravity but once I got that things worked great. I have a 2000 Ford f250 and the height was a little short to lift the camper up all the way. Some wood block feet solved that probably.

by:

Exactly what it says it is. Works as desired and is very easy and safe to operate. This is the 7th item I've purchased from this company and I have no negative feedback to give about any of of the items. All-in-all very solid items and I highly recommend this company to all.
