Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Gen-Y serrated hitch-mounted step. Now, this hitch step is going to slide into your 2-1/2 inch receiver, and it's going to give you quick and easy access to your vehicle's truck bed, cargo area, or roof rack. I do wanna point out that this is going to only be compatible with three quarter of an inch pinholes, and this serrated non-slip surface is going to give you a strong grip to help prevent slipping. You're probably also gonna be able to use this to remove mud off of your boots.
It's just that, if I could describe it as being rough, that's how much of a strong grip you're gonna get, that you could actually drag the surface, the bottom surface of your shoe or boot over this, and I think it's gonna do a good job of cleaning the bottom off as well. So I think this is really gonna give you a firm footing as you're using this. This has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. And let me go ahead and bring my tape measure up here, give you some overall measurements. So looking at the overall width, we're sitting right about 13 inches wide.
Looking at the overall length from front to back, we're sitting right about 10-1/2 inches long. And then looking at the depth, and I'm gonna be measuring from the back of the step, I'm gonna line this up here as best as I can to the center of our second hitch pin hole, about 2-1/2 inches on that depth. This is made here in the USA of a durable steel construction. It has this black powder coat finish that I think is gonna do a pretty good job of holding up against the elements. I also wanna point out that a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock is not included with this.
You're just going to get the step. So if you don't already have something compatible, you would have to pick that up. I would recommend checking out our hitch lock options here at etrailer.com just so you can be sure this is secured to the back of your vehicle and you're not gonna have to worry about someone possibly coming by and trying to remove this off the back of your truck when you're not around. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
