Hey there haulers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Master Lock's pivot lock hitch pin for two-inch hitches. It's available in chrome or stainless like you see here. When working with accessories for your two-inch hitch, one thing you're always going to need is a pin and clip. Now Master Lock has made this much simpler with this new design. Rather than having to fumble around and find your clip, which as always seems to be missing, or once you get it through there, having to line up with a small pinhole to get it in place, Master Lock has incorporated the clip design into their pin here so that it couldn't be simpler.Simply line up your accessory hole with your hitch hole.
And once you get this pushed through, you can pull out on the tab and drop it down into place and now it's not going anywhere. It's effectively a built in clip, so you don't have to worry about ever losing it. Spring loaded design makes it easy to rotate down into place. You can rotate it either up or down, depending on any clearance issues you may have. And when you're ready to remove your accessory, it's just as easy.
Lift up into position and slide out. And then you can see here that it is a 5/8 diameter hitch pin so it's going to work great with your Class III and Class IV accessories. It's got three inch usable span here, so it's going to fit all of those hitches as well. We've got our ball mount here today, but it's also going to work out great for your bike racks, cargo carriers, or anything else that you can throw at your two-inch hitch. This is a great product makes loading and unloading my kayak a lot easier. Holding up well after a year.
Just what I was looking for!
This pivot lock hitch pin has work perfectly. I am using it (actually two of them for double security) on a trailer tongue extension for my sailboat trailer. The inner tongue slides inside the original tongue. These locking pins are used to lock it in the towing position and the launching positon.

No more skinned knuckles! If you have ever gone to pull a normal hitch pin clip and you bust your knuckles as it pops out, you'll appreciate this Master Lock Pivot hitch pin! This has been one of my best purchases. Super easy to use, even with gloves on. No lost clips either, as this is one piece. Will be buying more for gifts for friends and family who tow.
What a dandy little pin. I recently bought a cargo hitch carrier from etrailer.com and stretching over the carrier to put the little hairpin clip into the hitch pin was causing me some grief. I found this pin and ordered it in stainless and chrome. I can engage it one-handed without having to crawl around under the bumper to find the hairpin clip, which I'm prone to do. Both of these are really high quality pins and the folks at etrailer.com are really hands-on kinda helpful. I'd have bought from them even if they weren't the cheapest online...but they were anyway.

Master Lock Pivot Hitch Pin ML1595DAT is very easy to use. You do not loose the hair pin and do not bruise your hand went you pull the hair pin out.

Service was great and delivery was fast. I wanted these Pivot locks because where i live with all the sage brush, tree cactus and soap weed I have had catch clip pins get snagged and have lost a tow hook. Just my preference and no problem now.
I love not worrying about losing the pin retainer. This pin is easy to use, and secure. I use it when towing a car hauler (GVW 12000 lbs) and it seems very secure. I haven't seen any wear on it, so I think it is doing its job well.

It's an easy to use and install 5/8" pin. It fits in a hole. It holds the hitch in the receiver. It does it.

Works well but it started rusting within 6 months
