Today, we're going to be taking a look at the South Carolina 2" from AMG. This hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It also adds a clean, finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube on your hitch. The hitch cover's made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front, we're going to have the chrome-plated metal emblem.
It's got a nice rust-proof and fade-proof design. The unit is made in the USA. On the backside, it's going to have a foam gasket that goes around the piece that's sized around 00:00:30 the receiver tube of your hitch. That's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for complete installation.
Those items are sold separately but if you're in need of one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pinholes on the hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. The hitch cover face is going to give us an overall width measurement of about 5", has an overall height measurement of about 3 and 1/2" and then the distance that we have from the back of that foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole is going to be pretty close 2 and 1/2". Now, this is designed for a 2" by 2" hitch. It's a very simple installation.
Just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pinholes, then secure with your hitch pin and clip or hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the South Carolina 2" Hitch Cover from AMG.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.
I am very pleased with the new hitch cover I ordered from etrailer.com. It was reasonably priced and is made of outstanding material. Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.
Love this hitch cover. It is exactly what I was looking for.
I love the emblem. Exactly as shown in the photos and the construction of this is solid.
My only problem is that the length of the tube does not allow me to use it when I have the anti-rattle collar installed. I have to remove the anti-rattle when not towing. I would love it if there was an option for a tube that is maybe 1 inch longer.

The hitch pin, part PC3 isnt included as stated in the product description.
Excellent quality. The hitch cover looks awesome. The locking pin seems to be well made. This was exactly what I was looking for.
Hitch cover looks great! I had to add an extra "gasket" pad so it would seal to the hitch with the locking pin in.
I am very pleased with this product. I will definitely do business with this company again. The customer service is excellent.
