Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the four trailer hitch cover. This is going to be helpful to have in your hitch to help keep out any kind of buildup of debris. Whenever you go to put in an accessory, a lot of times that hitch can build up with rust and dirt and other things from the road. So having this in there, it's going to keep that from building up and then make it easier to get your bike rack or your cargo carrier in place. Now, the cover is going to have our officially-licensed logo from Ford.
So you can show off your love for the Ford company and your vehicle. Also, it's going to have a nice stainless steel design, so we don't have to worry about this causing any rust or corrosion. Should stay looking nice and shiny for a long time.Does have a laser-etched logo there so should also stay looking good for quite a while. As far as the size that this will fit, it does fit into a two-inch by two-inch receiver tube, pretty typical size for your class three class, four hitches. The width from side to side there is five and a quarter inches.
So we put a ruler on it. You can see that for yourself, five and a quarter. And then height is three inches. The pinhole clearance, these are going to be our hitch-pin holes. So the way I have that written, it's going from the back of this surface to that first hole, the second, and then the third.
That just lets you know how much clearance you have between that first surface and your next hole. So we'll have one and a quarter inch of clearance, two and an eighth, and three and five eighths. The hitch-pin hole diameter is going to be your typical three quarters of an inch, or excuse me, it should be about five eighths of an inch, which is the standard size for your class three, class four hitch pin or locking hitch pin. Does not come with a hitch pin. So you will have to get that on your own. You could find a lot of options here at etrailer.com.
So definitely check those out. That's going to do it for our look at the Ford trailer, hitch receiver cover. Hope this video has been helpful. Thanks for watching.
