Features to know about

Protection Where It Counts

Verse Wheel Hooks

Your bike isn't just a ride - it's your trusted companion on every adventure. The last thing it needs is a rack that clamps down on the frame and leaves it covered in scratches. The Verse secures your bikes by the front wheels, keeping carbon, custom, and full-suspension frames free from scuffs and pressure dents. Load up, lock in, and roll out knowing your bike stays safe and looking great.

Just the Right Fit

Verse Wheel Hooks with microclicksVerse rear wheel cradles

When it comes to wheel clamps and straps, the Verse does things a little differently. The wheel hooks use micro-clicks, so you can ease the arms down until they land exactly where you want - no overtightening. The straps ratchet down with a smooth, solid pull, giving your wheels a secure, no-budge hold. If keeping your bikes locked in is the priority, the Verse delivers.

Tilts with a Simple Squeeze

Thule Verse Effortless tiltingVerse tilting down

Grabbing gear from the trunk doesn't have to mean unloading all your bikes. With the Verse, a quick squeeze of the handle tilts the rack out of the way - no awkward balancing acts, no complicated levers. Need snacks? A jacket? No problem. Grab what you need and get back on the road.

Smarter Storage for Tight Spaces

Verse wheel hooksVerse hooks folding near front cradles

When the rack isn't in use, the wheel hooks fold in closer to the front cradles, so you're not stuck with bulky hardware jutting out behind your vehicle. That tighter profile gives you more clearance in tight spots like parking lots, helping prevent bumps, run-ins, and awkward angles when backing out.

Tool-Free Setup

Verse tool-free hand knobVerse locks on hand knob

Fumbling with wrenches and bolts can be a real pain. The locking hand-knob secures the rack in your hitch with a simple twist - no tools, no frustration, just a solid hold. Turn, lock, and roll out while everyone else is still digging through their toolbox.

Upgrade Your Ride, Your Way

The Verse gets the job done on its own, but if you want to level up your setup, there are a ton of extras (sold separately) that have you covered.

Verse loading ramp

The wheel kit (TH97SA - sold separately) lets you move the rack like a suitcase, so you're not stuck awkwardly carrying it to your car.

Verse loading ramp

The loading ramp (TH43VA - sold separately) lets you roll your bike into place instead of hoisting it up. Perfect for e-bikes, fat bikes, or anyone who'd rather save their energy for the ride.

Verse loading ramp

If your bikes block your taillights, the light and license plate kit (TH24SA - sold separately) keeps you visible and road-ready. Plug it in, light it up, and avoid seeing those flashing lights in your rearview mirror.

Verse reapir holder

Need a quick tune-up before the ride? The repair holder (TH37SA - sold separately) turns your rack into a mobile work stand, so you can adjust gears, fix a flat, or dial in your setup wherever the road takes you. Because a little fine-tuning shouldn't slow down the adventure.

Verse 2-Bike Add-on

Sometimes, two bikes aren't enough - whether you're bringing friends along or gearing up for a family ride. The 2-bike add-on (TH84SA - COMING SOON - 8/1/2025) lets you expand your rack to carry four bikes, so no one gets left behind.

  • Is Taillight Kit Needed with Thule Verse Bike Rack
Hey Mark, that's a great question. In general you don't have to use a taillight kit like the part # TH24SA with bike racks like the Thule Verse # TH64SA as they are narrow enough that your taillights can easily be seen to the outsides of the bikes/rack or even through them. But on narrower vehicles this is not always the case and having additional taillights like the part # TH24SA does provide some additional peace of mind.

  • Is There Wheel Kit for Thule Verse Bike Rack to Make Getting In/Out of Garage Easier
Hey Al, yes we do have a way to easily add wheels to the Thule Verse bike rack with the part # TH97SA. This will make transporting the rack in and out of your garage much easier.

  • Recommended Easiest Bike Rack to Load a Heavy E-Bike
Yes, we do Bob! I recommend the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack item # Y88DJ if you have a 2" hitch or item # Y28DJ if you have a 1-14" hitch. The OnRamp bike racks have plenty of capacity for your 52 lbs electric bike. These racks also have a built in ramp that makes loading your bikes extremely easy. I have linked a picture below that will show you the ease of using this ramp.

  • Does Thule Make Loading Ramp for Platform Bike Racks
Hey Susan! What kind of Thule bike rack do you have? They do make the Thule Foldable Loading Ramp for Bike Racks # TH43VA. This works with any of their racks designed for a ramp like the Thule Epos # TH69XE or Thule Verse # TH64SA. There will be a mounting point on the cradle for the tab as seen in the attached photo.

  • What Bike Rack do I Want for My Specialized Turbo Vado SL 2 5.0 Bike with Front Fenders?
Hello Beth, Wow, that is a REALLY NICE bike!! I'm so glad you reached out. We definitely have a rack that will work for you, and you're absolutely right to be concerned about compatibility with the Thule Verse Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # TH64SA. Unfortunately, that rack won't work with your Specialized Turbo Vado SL 5.0 because the front fender interferes with the wheel mount system. Instead, I recommend the Thule Epos Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches...

  • Can Thule Verse Bike Rack Carry Carbon Bike Racks?
Hey Chris, yes a carbon fiber bike would be perfectly fine on the Thule Verse bike rack part # TH64SA as it only grabs the bikes by the tires. Carbon bikes have pretty delicate frames so you don't want a bike rack that touches the frame at all otherwise it will scratch it up or worse.

  • What is Max Wheelbase of Thule Verse Bike Rack TH64SA
Hey Tom, you are in luck! As the Thule Verse bike rack part # TH64SA that you referenced has a max wheelbase of 53 inches so your wifes bike that has a 52 inch wheelbase will work great on it!

  • Will the Thule Verse Handle My Heavy Bikes with Fat Tires, and Does it Have an Add On for More Bikes
Hello Roger, Great question! First off the Thule Verse Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # TH64SA ( # TH74SA for a 1 1/4" receiver) is a great rack for your 2 heavy fat tire bikes bikes. It can handle 60 pounds per bike and a tire width up to 5". After you get your daughter a bike you can add the 2-Bike Add-On for Thule Verse Bike Rack # TH84SA, then your 2 bike rack will magically be a 4 bike rack. Also, don't forget to grab the Tail Light Kit and License Plate Holder...

  • Will Thule Verse Bike Rack Work With Trek Verve 1 Step-Thru Bike?
Hey Steve, thanks for getting in touch. The Thule Verse Bike Rack # TH64SA will work very well with the Trek Verve 1 step-thru bike. You will not need an adapter bar because the rack mounts to the wheel of the bike rather than the frame. This makes it ideal for step thru bikes or any bike with an alternative frame style. Basically, any bike without fenders will be compatible. From the pictures I saw online of the Trek Verve 1 it does not have fenders, so you should be good to go. This...

  • Will Thule Verse Bike Rack Allow Rear Hatch to Open with Rack Tilted Down
Hey Dave, yes the Thule Verse bike rack part # TH64SA that you referenced was designed so that with the rack tilted back with bikes loaded you can still open your rear hatch. If you check out the picture I attached you can see what I mean. What kind of bikes will you be carrying?
