Question:

hi there, looking at RV approved e-bike racks for the back of my fifth wheel. There are several I see that would work. I like the idea and looks of the Hollywood Racks RV rider with the locking clamps for either the seat post or the frame. is there any other racks that you could advise would work as well? I see swagman also has RV approved racks but don’t like the idea of the hook that clamps down on the frame. Maybe the experts can advise as other racks to look at that work like the Hollywood racks rv rider. Thank You Mike

You're right, there are several bike racks that will allow 2 ebikes to be carried on the back of an RV, but it really comes down to the style of bikes that you have. For example, if a bike has fenders or a basket, a frame mount option like Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR is what you need. If you don't have fenders but you have a carbon fiber bike frame or something you don't want any clamps touching, you'd want wheel mount like the Thule Verse Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH64SA.

Both styles will keep the bikes secure so you won't have to worry about that. Like I said previously, it really comes down to what style of bikes you are transporting. In my opinion, I think the best bet is a frame-mount since it may provide just a hair more stability attaching to the frame rather than the wheels/tires. Also, if you ever have a bike with fenders, you can still use this style. So in that case, I'd go with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR you were originally looking at.
