SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy rear load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your front tires are making better contact with the road. These will help keep your vehicle level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load, and they'll even help to absorb bumps and shocks, even minimize sway. They are a progressive load control spring, which means it'll compress according to the weight of your cargo. So if you have a lighter load on it, the springs are gonna compress easily at first for soft engagement, less bumpy ride, and then if you have a heavier load on it, the springs will compress by as much as 80% for support. Very easy to install. Will keep my Tundra from squatting too much when I tow.
Added 2” spacers on each side so the Sumosprings touch my frame. Relatively easy to install, but centering on the frame was a challenge as the directions tell you to touch the wire harness bracket. I elected to be slightly off center so the bracket did touch to prevent movement and wire damage. Also, once initial installation is performed, you must remove to tighten, which is not in the directions. Overall, the ride has not changed at all and it helps eliminate the drop from my trailer. Highly recommend!
